Spun off from the original Traitor Tropes page, here's an attempt to list tropes present in the first years' worth of Traitor Games.

Once again, thanks to TV Tropes for giving all these tropes names in the first place and inspiring this imitation.

  • Action Girl - Ms. Marvel, Kitty Pryde -- in fact, many of the characters played by Chris Lang or tangentman could fall into this category.
  • Alternate Continuity - Kitty Pryde, Rogue, and Danielle Moonstar come from the MC-217 Universe, a reality that diverged from the main X-Men continuity after Inferno.
  • AlternateUniverse - Well, the main divergence being that the players are sucked into a fatal game of Mafia/Werewolf ... (It can also double as quite a few locations).
  • Ambiguously Gay - Zhang He. James of Team Rocket.
  • Arson Murder and Jaywalking - Darth Jubba the Sith Hutt is described in the action figure parody as "Evil Sith Lord, gangster, murderer, and jaywalker". The latter is inspired by a scene in Traitor Game VII where Willow says that the only despicable thing Darth Jubba can't do is jaywalk. Darth Jubba then proceeds to prove her wrong.
  • Bad Santa - the crazy Santa who hosted Traitor Game V, and returned in a different incarnation in Traitor Game X.
  • Big No - Darth Vader's infamous Big No has been parodied all over the Internet, and so it has here.
  • Big Lipped Alligator Moment - Several in Traitor Game IX. Such as the cameo by 'Superdickery' Superman and the sudden appearance (and just as sudden disappearance) of the trashy talk show audience just as the final confrontation is about to begin.
    • Jessica finding an Abercrombie and Fitch on a deserted planet's beach during Traitor Game XI.
    • The Warner siblings' bothering Snape (with bizarre jokes and surreal scenes homaging several different films and shows) kind of qualifies, except that in later games, Snape does seem to remember the incident and is scared of the Warner siblings.
    • The first part of the confrontation between Chairman Kaga and his rapper counterpart Ghetto Kaga involves them pitting a rap group against the Gummi Bears. This is then followed by 'April Fools' (as it was originally posted on April Fools' Day), and then it's never mentioned again.
  • Blue Bishonen Ghetto - Gan Ning of course.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming - Ukyo and Meowth's friendship
  • Dance Party Ending - Traitor Game X, as the Asgardians and the gamers celebrate before moving on to the epilogues and the subplots
  • Early Installment Weirdness - The first Traitor Game has it in abundance. Over the course of the following six games, the Traitor Games gradually evolved from just 'Mafia/Werewolf with fantasy/sci-fi/super characters' to being Massive Multiplayer Crossovers with bigger storytelling and a greater emphasis on characterization and roleplaying.
  • Everything's Better With Dinosaurs - Especially mechanical robot dinosaurs like Grimlock, who forms a strange alliance with Ares, the God of War.
  • Evilly Affable - Vandal Savage. He has little or no redeeming qualities, but he's still very entertaining.
  • Giant Space Flea From Nowhere - The cobra demons, Adam, Caleb ... just about everything the characters fight aside from Glory and her minions in Traitor Game IX applies. The Ding-A-Ling family in Traitor Game X also fits into this trope.
  • Heroic Sacrifice - Captain America at the climax of Traitor Game IX is one example.
  • Magnificent Bastard - Vandal Savage
  • Moral Event Horizon - Glory butchers most of the Traitor Babies.
  • Our Vampires are Different - Traitor Game VIII featured Dracula and Alucard, who of course follow different vampire rules.
  • Post Climax Confrontation - The confrontation with the Organization in Traitor Game X's epilogue qualifies.
  • Xanatos Sucker - Averted since the Flash in Traitor Game V tried to use a Xanatos Roulette... and failed utterly.
