And now Part 17 of the Traitor Game Essentials re-presentation of Traitor Game VII: A Galaxy Far, Far Away. In this installment, Willow confronts Quinn only to find the bigger threat may be herself.

Chris Lang 03-01-2007 01:21 PM

Cologne was a bit surprised. Three votes for Evinlea so far, and two for Quinn Mallory.

"I see that at least one person here has learned nothing from the previous round." Cologne said coldly. "I will not mention any names, but he knows I am talking about him."

"This round is an important round. Remember, my Rebel Alliance members guessed correctly the previous round, and one of them was killed for it. My remaining Rebel Alliance member has not guessed yet, because this may be the last time said Rebel gets to make a guess. The next victim might very well be the other Rebel Alliance member. In fact, my Agent suspects as much, according to the letter I received a little while ago."

"There is much at stake here. So please think about your vote. Remember, you ARE allowed to change your vote once per round."

Cologne could say no more. She knew who her Rebel Alliance members had guessed the previous round, but she could not say it out loud. She felt frustrated, being unable to even give the players a hint.

---

At Nerima Park, Ukyo turned to her companions to see what they thought. "I think Evinlea's the Traitor." Akane said.

"No way! It's got to be that military guy, Marcus Feewhatever!" Ranma replied.

"I don't know, Ranchan." Ukyo said. "I think he's just going along with whoever votes last. I think Quinn Mallory did it."

Akane's sister Nabiki approached. "There are still two Traitors." Nabiki said. "I'm not telling you who I think the Traitors are yet. But I've just been talking with some of the others. Hiroshi thinks Luffy's a Traitor. Daisuke's betting on that reptile guy. Gosunkugi thinks that Zasalamel is a Traitor. Tatewaki Kuno thinks Dr. Cox did it for some reason, and Kodachi thinks that Evinlea's the killer."

"And everyone knows Kodachi's more than just a little bit crazy." Ukyo replied. "We can't really take anything she says very seriously."

"You have to admit Evinlea's a good suspect." Akane said.

"So was Mantis in the last game, and I was wrong about her." Ukyo replied.

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see." said Nabiki with a smile. With that, Nabiki walked off into the crowd, to take more bets as to who the Traitors were.

Ukyo didn't know who the Traitors were, but she had her suspects, as did everyone else in the crowd. But she and her current companions were just spectators, and could not actually vote. She could only hope that the players in the game would make the right choice soon.

OOC: I kind of figured that if a Traitor Game has outside spectators, they'd have their own guesses as to 'whodunnit'. It's up to you as to how seriously you take any of these characters' guesses. :)

1 Attachment(s)
Well, lady, I gotta hand it to you, you're the only person in this gaggle of pathetic idiots that actually understands how this game works. Everyone, Evinlea may be responsible, considering there's still another traitor after this, but if Courage was a rebel, guessed correctly, and voted for Quinn, I think it's pretty damn obvious who it is. If you don't vote for him, you're getting nowhere, and allowing those bastard coated bastards to take another life. Come on, people, get it right.
"Well said, Dr. Cox," Evinlea said to the Doctor, "I can only hope your mortal friends heed your advice." Just then Dick Dastardly was again up to his old tricks.
Right you are, boobsy. I've decided to switch gears here. For this round, I vote for Martin! So here's what I'm going to do.

Long Elaborate Failed Trap

Oh no!

(Once again, with the exception of his eyes and mouth, Dastardly is trapped in the cement.)

Muttley! Get me out of this! But don't use the giant mallet again!

(With that mind, Muttley grabs a couple sticks of dynamite and lights them up by Dastardly.)

Oh no! Oh no!

(Dastardly tries to blow out the fuse. But......)

KABOOM!
"Yet another contestant to try my patience," Evinlea stated. "I think you are more enamored with playing the game so you can test out your little traps. Clearly there is some physiological means at work here that allows you to survive these devices that would kill ordinary humans. I'd like to see you survive for a day without that ability, Dick." Evinlea blasted Dick Dastardly in a red light. Suddenly Dick Dastardly appeared different to everyone:

OOC: Sorry Skull. Feel free to reverse the effects somehow!

Indigo Al 03-01-2007 01:31 PM

With a harsh, sibilant hiss of his reptilian tongue, Martin emitted the sounds made by his species that correspond to human laughter. He and Muttley both shared this "laugh" for a long moment, much to Dastardly's ire.

Then, he spoke aloud:

"Hmm. The game has taken some interesting and mysterious twists. Dastardly's accusation of me must be some kind of smokescreen/misdirection, as is Willow's sudden accusation of Evinlea. I wonder where exactly she is leading Mallory? Perhaps they are trying to keep their Stormtrooper partner in the game?

As Evinlea stated, the evidence before us is too great to ignore. Quinn Mallory is most certainly an Imperial Stormtrooper."

GoGo Yubari 03-01-2007 01:38 PM
"Truly you mortals are pitifully stupid." Evinlea stated. "Here, let me explain it out for you and I will try and use as few syllables as possible; Cologne stated the Rebel Agents had guessed correctly, Courage was said to be a Rebel Agent, one of the good guys, Courage voted for Quinn Mallory, then was killed for it. I cannot say it any more plainly."
I don't like her, but she's right. Courage was a Rebel, and... okay, also a dog, but he seemed smart enough to vote for the correct guess that he and the other member had already made. What are all those people playing at by voting for her?

"I'm inclined to agree. Unless Courage made a huge lapse of judgment for no good reason, there's no way it could be anyone other than Quinn Mallory."
OOC: Who IS that, I might ask? I don't recognize him.
OOC: Pretty good likeness, huh? It's the only guy I could think of with a handlebar mustache, Baseball Hall of Famer, Rollie Fingers.

Chris Lang 03-01-2007 02:18 PM

OOC: The votes so far...

04 Jeff-E - Quinn Mallory (Weirdopky, Superheroic, Indigo Al, GoGo Yubari) 03 Superheroic - (Jeff-E, Schornforce, bigboi2) 01 Indigo Al - Martin (The Purple Skull)

The voting deadline is Friday at 11pm.

I thought of having some sort of 'exercise' so that everyone could show off what they could do, but I didn't really know how to do it without just making it be a rehash of the Doombot battle in the previous game. I'm open to suggestions, though.

By the way, this is my 666th post and I didn't realize it. I was HOPING to use it to post a 'Mephisto vs. Neron' thread in the Rumbles board, but I lost track of my messages. Sigh.

OOC: Nothing wrong with a 'rehash' - just give it your own, Star Wars flavor!Attack of the Clones arena battle? Defend Hoth or Endor?

Eternal Torment 03-01-2007 03:26 PM

Zasalamel took his personal Magic 8-Ball and asked it a question. The answer was DEFINITELY. Trusting the advice of the device, he cast a vote for Quinn Mallory.

OOC: I was thinking of using the battledroids and/or something similiar to the Attack of the Clones arena battle myself. Of course, if this happens, I'll be sure not to leave those on Dagobah out. :)

Stay tuned, everyone. I think I might have a surprise at 11pm tonight, and then move the ending of this voting round to Saturday at 11pm.

We'll see what happens.

Traitor Game Announcer: Well Mr. Dastardly, looks like Evinlea gave you a little makeover. You kind of resemble Rollie Fingers.

Ha! If anything, that fool copied my look. Nobody has a better mustache than Dick Dastardly! As for what that buxom wench did to me, a little twirl is all I need to rectify my situation.

(A quick spin later, and Dick Dastardly is back to normal.)

Ahh much better.

TGA: Aren't you afraid that the next trap that backfires on you might be fatal? Evinlea did remove your ability to survive your own mishaps.

Again, Penelope Prostitute II does not phase me. As per the rules of this game, the only way one can be killed is if the Stormtroopers do it. So even if my traps backfire, it will not be fatal.

TGA: Oh I see. Since you are one of the Stormtroopers anyway, you won't be killed.

Yes, exactly....I mean NO! NO! I am not one of the Stormtroopers!

TGA: And let's not forget the Bounty Hunter can kill you off as well.

I'd rather not think about that right now. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do.

OOC: Sorry, Superheroic. I had to reverse it. No hard feelings. I might revert back into Rollie Fingers later in the game. It was really funny though. :)

"Oh, did I startle you, Quinn?

Too bad."

A light telekinetic shove sent Quinn flying into the conveniently located bric-a-brac.

"Stay. I insist."

A binding spell took effect of Quinn holding him firmly in place. He struggled in place for a bit until he discovered it was futile to escape.

"You may as well get comfortable. Feel free to yell as loud as you like. I've placed wards upon this room. No one can see or hear us-- not even your precious giant slug.

Tendou sat to think. (So, another one of us falls. Still we're no closer to the answers then we were. Not at all.) He sighed and casted a vote for Zasalemel.

Schornforce 03-01-2007 05:31 PM

"Hm. Is this what you did to your victims, Quinn? Did you lure them away from everyone else and then with the rest of Jubba's lame cronies, decimate them?

...

What? You're gonna tell me that I'm mistaken-- you're not a traitor? C'mon, Quinn-- we're both intelligent people here. Don't insult me. The rebels chose a traitor correctly last round. Only two people had more than one vote as potential traitors. One is banished and proclaimed innocent. The other is you. C'mon, big tech guy like you can do the math, right?

I only named Evinlea to get you to follow me. Plus, if I claimed to have evidence, I'm sure you and the other traitor would be more than happy to utilize that against her.

Now, I know what you're thinking--

but don't worry. I'm not going to kill you-- I can't. Only the bounty hunter or slimy weasel-traitors like yourself can do that--"

As I spoke, I could feel the overwhelmingly powerful dark magicks welling up within me... empowering me... It's almost transcendental. I could see the fear in Quinn's eyes growing and it gave me a major happy.

"--seeing as how I'm not able to kill you, let's see what other fun we can have."
Deadpool: hey, Yoda, grab a seat and enjoy the show. The good part's just beginning. You too Monkey man.
"Observe the proceedings, I will." Yoda said.

Yoda watched the proceedings on the monitor. He was a bit disturbed at Willow's actions. Willow, it seemed, might be on the verge of giving in to anger and hate. Anger and hate, as Yoda had told so many of his students, led to the Dark Side.

Of course, Yoda's present company included Darth Vader, who had already turned to the Dark Side. Deadpool, being not right in the head to start with, had been lured further into the Dark Side by Darth Jubba. Goku and Kenny McCormick had their darker aspects as well. And so did the man with the bat-insignia on his costume who now silently approached the house.

---

Cologne sat in the library, pondering the latest turn of events. Quinn Mallory now had the most votes, followed by Evinlea. Martin and Zasalamel had one vote, each. Two players had yet to vote. Those would be Luffy and the Punisher, the latter of whom Cologne knew was actually Dr. Sam Beckett.

Cologne stared at the tattered remnants of Batman's mask she had brought back with her, and which she had placed upon a table. Had Batman actually spoken with the others more and been willing to work with them, he might have avoided his fate. Then again, considering Batman's history in the Traitor Games, he might have suffered the same fate sooner or later anyway.

At this, Cologne was disturbed by the TV screen Darth Jubba had summoned to the library. Darth Jubba appeared on the screen.

"Greetings, Cologne. I just thought you'd like to know that I've set up an ampitheatre in Nerima, Japan where your friends can watch this entire Traitor Game live as it happens, on a giant screen television. They can see and hear us, but they will be unable to communicate with us at all. Your okonomiyaki cook friend is especially frustrated over this. She really wants to help, but can only watch helplessly! Ho ho ho ho!"

With that, Darth Jubba's image vanished from the screen.

Cologne did not know who all was watching this in Nerima aside from Ukyo, but she expected her possible future son-in-law Ranma Saotome was in the crowd. She spoke, addressing them.

"Do not worry about me." Cologne said. "And do not worry about yourselves. Chances are still good that you will not be forced to pay Darth Jubba the money he says you owe him. Shampoo, if you are seeing this, I want you to know that I am safe, and I plan to return as soon as my business here is concluded. Ukyo, do not feel that you need to help me. You have already been of great help to me in my investigation of the Traitor Games. Ranma Saotome, future son-in-law, I know it must frustrate you just as much as Ukyo to not be able to help. But you must trust that we will be able to manage without you."

Having finished that, Cologne turned her attention back to the game.

---

Meanwhile, at Nerima Park

Cologne's speech had hushed the crowd. Most of them had reacted to the Traitor Game as if it were a movie or television show. Cologne's words, speaking directly to certain people in the crowd, had reminded them that it was real and that if Cologne's forces lost, Darth Jubba would be back to collect his payment.

Ukyo turned to Ranma, who she knew was thinking something similiar to what she was. "There's got to be something we can do. I'm just not sure what it is yet."

moonknight2099 03-01-2007 06:08 PM

So much had went on. It seems I put my faith in the wrong person. This is truely a twisted game. I keep telling myself that Quinn is innocent, but the proof is overwelming. That poor dog died and I could have... Can't beat myself up, it wasn't my fault.

I saw Evinlea destroy the sliding device. I was so angry at her for doing that. I don't understand how person as nice as Quinn could be the traitor. And Evinlea as cruel and heartless as she is, I guess is one of the good guys. I need to talk to Quinn. But I haven't seen him for a while. I walk over to Dr. Cox.

"Say have you seen Quinn lately? He was here a little while ago, I need to ask him some questions."

"What game should we play first? You know, I could do countless things to you all day without leaving so much as a mark. You deserve it too. I've heard what you and your oozing bilious master are planning. The lives you all want to destroy.

What did he offer you? Was he going to return you and your friends to your home dimension? Did you believe him? Perhaps you're not even the real Quinn Mallory at all. Maybe you're all 'Earth 2.'

It doesn't matter. You're just like... him.

Just like Warren Mears-- a wretched, vile, little man who took someone very dear to me. Don't think I miss the similarities-- no regard for who you hurt and destroy. Not even a fleeting thought about those who care about your victims. It's all about you-- a whiny, techno-geek who thinks he's owed the world!!! Well, there's one thing you are owed--

pain!!!"

I watched as my magical lightning bolts coursed through Quinn. His screams were like an angel's chorus. I finally paused. Hmph. Those bolts were my weakest. If they hurt him like that-- wait'll we get to the ones that actually cause damage.

"Aw, did that sting a little? Well, saddle up, stud. We have a long night ahead-- and there's no one to stop me."

"--Except me."

What? Impossible--

As Courage warying followed Kenny on Dagobah, chaos had erupted in the Traitor Game. But amidst all the chaos was a source of sarcasm. In the struggle to kill Courage, his wristband had been forced off his arm by accident. The fall had caused the device to turn on. MEANWHILE BACK AT VADER"S RETREAT....

Vader had a long talk with yoda about how events were different in their own universe. Vader's wife panme didn't die till years after she gave birth to the twins.Obi wan was killed by the emperor's hand and yoda died while destroying the first death star. The dark side was much more powerful that ever but it was tainted and could drive a man mad!

Vader's galaxy is ruled by the families of skywalkers, some of them so powerful that they could pull a moon out of orbit.Vader heads this royal family and keep tight control by ruling with a iron fist. With help from the heir vader had forced the old emperor to become a slave before he was force to kill him.

In the here and now, vader wondered when he and his rag tag team was going to be able to lead an attack against the slug.a few more people and a little more time is all he needed. when he gets home vader will also have a working model of a transporter, thanks to deadpool. Poor deadpool! he didn't realize that a push of a button would send his ass right back to yoda tent where he would be fitted with an iron collar. sigh... vader could only hope that Yoda would be quick to join the fight.

Ya might wanna check that out. And did I hear you say something about leaping before? Because when I was a wee lad, after a brutal night's worth of abuse from my drunken father, I'd always like to watch some Quantum Leap. Are you Sam Beckett? Well, I gotta tell ya, looking back at the show, I find it pretty ridiculous that you took forever to get back to normal. Anyway, go upstairs, check on Willow and Quinn.

It was then that things went white for both of us-- er, me.

"It's done."

I did it. I kept from going back over the edge. I reconciled Jekyll with Hyde. Everything's not exactly bright and sunny, but no matter.

I walk over to Quinn.

"Hey, Quinn, I'm still certain that you're totally the traitor. Here's the twist, though-- I'm going to let you go."

I stroke his face for a second. He shudders and pulls away.

"Hey, it's regular Willow talking-- it's important you know that."

Then I leaned close and whispered into his ear, "Tell them, anything you want. Go crying back to your putrid slug and fellow traitor. Tell the other non-traitors in an effort to banish me. Any lies you wish. No matter what you do, know that the darkness you faced tonight isn't gone. It's always mixed within. You, Jubba, or anyone involved in your insipid little game ever comes near-- let alone after the people I care about, and I'll teach every last one of you what ultimate pain is about-- whether I'm here, on Dagobah, in my dimension, Limbo, anywhere."

I smile sweetly and wave my hand dissolving the binding spell. Quinn, understandably gets right up and leaves. I pick up a small bit of Quinn's hair from the ground, put it in the time/space pocket, and then magically get rid of any other physical evidence of either of us being here and leave with my head held high. Let Jubba try his worst. Even if he and his remaining agent kill me, it'll just be falling right into my plans.

OOC: Jeff-E, I hope I didn't overstep my bounds with all of this. If so, er... feel free to seek any revenge on me you want.

Chris Lang 03-01-2007 07:30 PM

OOC: Whoa! That's heavy stuff, there, Schornforce! I didn't know you had it in you! You played the whole Dark Willow thing pretty good.

IC:

As Tendou began writing his letter, Cologne turned her attention to the TV screen Darth Jubba had placed in the library. Was it, like the television Dr. Cox had found in the kitchen, capable of receiving Earth programs even in this galaxy far far away?

Cologne switched on the television, and was greeted with static. She turned the channel, and saw what appeared to be Ukyo fighting her rival Crepe Joe. She already knew how that came out, so she didn't bother to see the end. She switched the channel, and saw something strange.

Two frightened young men dressed in black were sitting at a table. One of them, the blond-haired one, said "We've got maybe seconds before Darth Rosenberg grinds everybody into Jawa burgers, and not one of you bunch has the midiclorians to stop her."

Suddenly, the image on the TV changed. It now appeared to be the Doomtations performing in a music video. "Come all without, come all within, You'll not see nothing like the mighty Quinn", they were singing.

The images on the TV then grew blurry and indistinct. Cologne thought she saw Quinn Mallory fighting with a double of himself, and then she saw images of Willow, Dr. Cox, Darth Vader, Columbo the detective, the Burger King, Eric Cartman, Yoda, and several people she didn't recognize. And then the TV image dissolved into static.

Cologne was not sure what these confusing images meant. But she realized that Willow had not been seen in a while. She quickly rushed off into the hall to find the young woman.

---

Darth Jubba watched Cologne from the monitors in his office. He found the one scene Cologne had seen on the television especially amusing. "Ho ho ho ho! That young man is such a fool! He should have known that he was in no danger of being ground into Jawa burgers because neither he nor any of the others were Jawas! But that reminds me...I haven't had Jawa burger in a LONG time. Let's stop the next sandcrawler that passes by. Then we'll have plenty of the main ingredient! Ho ho ho ho!"

Darth Jubba just then realized that the PA system was on, so everyone could hear what he was saying. He then switched it off. Of course, he knew much of his speech would not make any sense to anyone except him and Cologne, who had seen the scene that inspired it.

OOC: I just couldn't resist using that line from Quinn the Eskimo by Bob Dylan. :)

Evinlea could feel the dark forces being used. They were powerful and coming from the Willow girl. "Now that is a mortal to be proud of," she said aloud.

I saw Cologne headed my way. She's one sharp cookie. Totally a little old female version of Giles. I bet she figured something might be up and wanted to check up on Quinn and me.

"Oh, hey, Cologne. Is something the matter? I didn't miss a banishment or something, did I?"

"Oh, hey, Cologne. Is something the matter? I didn't miss a banishment or something, did I?"
"I was worried about you." Cologne said. And indeed she was. "I had a bad feeling about...something... ever since you and Quinn disappeared. And then I saw something strange on that television Darth Jubba placed in the library."

Cologne quickly told Willow of the confusing series of images she had seen on the television. "I do not know what these images meant. But I was worried that you might be losing control of yourself, like you almost did back in the library. Back when Emma told you something disturbing."

"It is vitally important that we all remain calm. Losing control of ourselves will do far more harm than good."

"Now, before I left the library, I noted that the voting board was changing. Did you officially change your vote?" Cologne asked.

Schornforce 03-01-2007 08:55 PM

"Don't worry, Cologne. I hear ya. I think I had to work through some... issues. Anger management stuff. Quinn was quite helpful with that.

Besides, you can't believe everything you see on television."

...

"About the voting thing-- yes, I have changed my vote. I'm absolutely certain that Quinn Mallory is the traitor. In spite of his 'help' today, I'm sure I want my vote to be for him."

I saw that Cologne was still worried. I didn't want to upset her any more and I was feeling a little out of it after today's errands. "Please excuse me, Cologne. I hear dreamland a-callin'. I'm sure someone will wake me if something happens."

I gave Cologne a smile and patted her shoulder as a way of saying 'it's all right-- really.' Then, I headed back to my quarters. On the way, I noticed a watch.

"Hm." You'd think people would keep better track of their things-- still everyone's a little occupied. It's easy to lose something in this place. That's when I noticed that the computer mentioned a dog.

I remembered the little pink doggie wore a watch just like this.

I continued on to my quarters and once there, I held the watch out and chanted, "Gods and goddesses of the lost, I beseech thee to take the treasured object I hold to the one to whom it is tied. Let it be done."

The watch vanished from my hands and fell right into Courage's lap on Dagobah.

"A favor for a favor, little friend."

I plopped down on the bed and relaxed. It's been a long day.

OOC: I'm gone again 'till tomorrow. :)

Guy1 03-01-2007 09:03 PM

Tendou finished writing his letters to Kagami, Juuka and Hiyori. He then stood up, looking at them for a long time before sealing the letters. (As the one who walks the path of heaven, it is my duty to expose the traitors. I only hope I live to see them all again.) Tendou thought to himself. "Grandmother said this: A bond is a deep connection that cannot be broken. Even if apart, heart and heart are connected." He said to himself. "Hiyori, I will come back to you all."

Superheroic 03-01-2007 09:35 PM
Tendou sat to think. (So, another one of us falls. Still we're no closer to the answers then we were. Not at all.) He sighed and casted a vote for Zasalemel.
Evinlea heard Kabuto's thoughts. She had been distracted by Willow's attack on Quinn. Now she approached the man. "Surely you cannot believe that Zasalamel is one of the Traitors. Members of his organization just attacked that ugly toad, Jubba. But let us say he is for a moment, why vote for him now? Clearly Quinn Mallory is a traitor, why not vote for him? Going against the popular in this instance marks you as the final traitor by protecting Mallory or at least makes you a target for the Vigilante. I need to understand the depths of your insanity."

OOC: That's all for me folks, See ya tomorrow...

"Damn Wiilo, remind me never to piss you off" Marcu said amazed at what he saw.

RUMINATIONS: I was really impressed by Schornforce here, showing us that he can write more serious stuff in addition to the lighthearted. A very impressive bit of roleplaying there.

Ah, one of those ad parodies. Usually we save those for the epilogue/post-game materials. In any case, I feel I have to give this disclaimer for anyone who may be reading this out of context. That ad is just a parody, and none of those creators have anything to do with the Traitor Games.

The scenes Cologne sees on the television DO have meaning, but of course what they mean won't be clear until later on.

Beginning of the game: Page One

The last few pages: Page Fourteen, Page Fifteen, Page Sixteen.

The re-presentation continues in Page Eighteen.
