And now Part 24 of the Traitor Game Essentials re-presentation of Traitor Game VII: A Galaxy Far, Far Away. More debating, and more traps from Dastardly.

IC: "I will change my vote from Martin to Zasalamel" Marcus said.

OOC: Good night y'all

The Purple Skull 03-05-2007 01:56 AM

OOC: I forgot to add this when I posted my 'Tower of Doom' trap, if anybody has any traps they would like to see used by Dastardly, please feel free to PM me with your ideas.

Chris Lang 03-05-2007 02:36 AM

Cologne remained silent as Marcus Fenix changed his vote from Martin to Zasalamel. She was not sure who she would have voted for were she a player herself, and not the main opponent to Darth Jubba the Sith Hutt.

Cologne's thoughts turned to her Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter still had the opportunity to make a kill later on in this round, but if the Bounty Hunter missed that opportunity, Cologne knew the remaining Imperial Stormtrooper would strike again instead.

Cologne headed off to her quarters to rest. It had been a long day, and tomorrow she would need to be at full strength.

OOC: That's it for me tonight. See you all some time after 10 pm. And remember, the Bounty Hunter is scheduled to strike at 5pm Eastern time on Monday.

tangentman 03-05-2007 02:44 AM

Emma smacked herself on the forehead in disbelief. Well, her astral form did so. Thoughtcasting in strained "tones", Emma "spoke" with deliberately clipped words. Who among us has consistently voted with known Traitors? Who has voted against the innocent every time? Glaring at the assembled survivors, Emma "said", Really, people, I'm not asking you to build the Death Star!

A pause followed the realization that she'd made another Star Wars reference. Everyone heard a telepathic "groan". I hate this game.

When the battle had ended, Martin made a meal of two rather fat Tattooinian hamsters. After getting some much needed rest, he pondered who the remaining traitor might be.

"I've been voting somewhat at random throughout the game, to see if I could flush out any alliances or glean motives from the less reponsive players...but now we are down to the end, and we have a chance to survive this. I have to try to get the traitor.

I'll have to go with Luffy."
OOC: Voting Update

06 darkkeeperjr – Darth Vader (Crimson King, Weirdopky, Gogo Yubari, Jeff-E, Superheroic, Eternal Torment) 03 The Purple Skull -Dick Dastardly (Anthony Johanson, bigboi2, Froggy) 02 Crimson King - Deadpool (The Purple Skull, Guy1) 01 tangentman - Emma Frost (darkkeeperjr) 01 Indigo Al - Martin (Joe Acro)

Remember, you have until Saturday at 11pm to cast your vote!
Well, since this game's getting down to the wire, I felt it would be necessary to look back at things, considering what our friends, Cologne and Emma, have been saying. I looked back at the first voting round, in which an innocent man, tall dark and nutjob, was eliminated. Ok, so, since both Deadpool and Quinn (Crimson King & Jeff-E respectively) had voted for Vader, and Evinlea was a rebel who was killed, we're only left with mouyself (myself), Kyon, and Zasalamel. Since I have no way of killing anyone, other than what we just did, which has now made my knife disappear, we're left with Kyon and Zasalamel. You guys want me to speak slower? Well, since Kyon's naught (not) much of a fighter, I'm gonna go ahead and vote for Zasalamel. Sorry for the vote earlier, Fenix. Just trying out my options. Hopefully my guess is right.

ooc: this is the actual vote that had taken place for when DV was banished. I had to look through a bunch of pages. If you want proof, it's somewhere around pages 23-26 i believe. See ya guys later.

Chris Lang 03-05-2007 01:25 PM

OOC: Did I say 10pm in my last post when I said I'd be back? I meant 10am, sorry. :)

IC:

Cologne left her quarters, and headed off to the library. She had rested some, but she had also communicated with her Bounty Hunter through secret messages.

The Bounty Hunter had chosen a target, though how and when the kill would occur had not been firmly decided yet.

Cologne thought about the events of that night. She could not blame Emma Frost for being so frustrated. It seemed some people were just not thinking about their choices.

What happened to Sam Beckett was regrettable. But it was possible that the last Imperial Stormtrooper would be found out within this or one of the coming rounds.

There were nine players left at Darth Jubba's palace. After the next kill, there would be eight.

--- Ukyo's room, at Ucchan's in Nerima

Ukyo felt awkward, turning to a potted orchid and speaking to it. But Mantis had told her she would be able to communicate with the Celestial Madonna in this fashion if she needed her help.

"Uh...can you hear me?" Ukyo began. "I think Cologne and the others are in serious danger. I don't think the Traitor Game's going to be enough to stop Darth Jubba. He's threatening our whole town, and several other places in other universes. I don't think he'll be satisfied even if we did pay him. I want to help Cologne. But I can't do this by myself. I don't even know..."

"Why Spatula Girl talk to flower?" an unexpected voice said. Ukyo turned, and saw Shampoo standing in the doorway of her room.

"How'd you get in here?" Ukyo asked the young Chinese Amazon.

"Spatula Girl left the door unlocked." Shampoo replied.

"Oh." Ukyo said, realizing that she had been in such a hurry that she had indeed left the front door of Ucchan's unlocked, though Ucchan's was still presently closed. "What are you doing here?"

"You wish to help great-grandmother." Shampoo replied. "I wish to help, too. You're not doing this without Shampoo's help."

Ukyo and Shampoo were bitter rivals, though there had been a few times they had worked together. Shampoo appeared sincere in her offer of help.

"Okay." said Ukyo. "But you didn't tell Ranma about this, did you?"

"No. Shampoo came here by herself."

Ukyo decided that Shampoo was telling the truth. Of course, she knew that she needed more than just Shampoo's help. She also needed the help of some of the people already there in Darth Jubba's dimension, such as Cologne, and Emma Frost. She would have considered Willow and Zasalamel, but for all she knew, either of them could be the last Traitor.

And there was another person Ukyo would need, if she were to have any chance of even getting to Darth Jubba's dimension in the first place. Ukyo turned back to the orchid, even though it might mean more embarrasing questions from Shampoo...

OOC: This subplot won't pay off for a while, now. As for the Bounty Hunter kill, check 5pm for updates on THAT situation.
Yoda approached Goku. "Over, battle is. Still going, the Traitor Game is. Vote you cannot, but your opinions you can still express to the others."

The Jedi master then gestured to the monitor.

--- Back at Darth Jubba's palace

Cologne looked at the Dagobah monitor. "Yoda is right, Goku. If you have any ideas, feel free to share them with us."
hmm, then in that case, I say vote for....Martin! That man is creepy!

Chris Lang 03-05-2007 02:19 PM

Cologne waited in the library, for further word from her Bounty Hunter. As she did, she pondered her two Agents, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Evinlea.

She had thought it was an interesting strategy, pairing together two beings who had seemingly nothing in common. But unfortunately, the Imperial Stormtroopers had seen through that strategy and managed to eliminate both from the game.

She wondered if it was still possible to contact Evinlea. Since Evinlea was not on Dagobah, she would not be reachable via the Dagobah monitor.

Cologne then turned to the TV screen that had been placed in the library. Someone had earlier used that screen to give a hint as to the truth behind Quinn Mallory. It had also been used so that they could see what Darth Jubba had been doing in Batman's dimension.

Cologne turned on the TV screen. Perhaps it would help her find out where Evinlea was now, or perhaps not. But it was worth a try.

Chris Lang 03-05-2007 02:58 PM

OOC: For your information, I'm changing the kill time to 7pm tonight. Of course, Darth Jubba will have something to say over the PA address system at 5pm anyway.

Kevin M. 03-05-2007 03:09 PM

Marcus walked into the libraby to think to him self. So far he had doing a piss poor job in this traitor game. "Hope we neil this guy to night" he said as he grabed a book. "The joys of the dark side" was the books title. What the hell.

Traitor Game Announcer: Welcome back Traitor Game fans! When we last left off, the fiendish Dick Dastardly tried once again to catch Luffy. This time, he built an overly complex trap called the 'Tower of Doom'. However, like all his traps, it backfired on poor Dastadly, leaving him hanging like a pinata. But now, he looks to have gotten out of his predicament and has moved on to his next evil scheme.

I've decided to take a more back to basics approach. We all know that gluttonous idiot Luffy will eat just about anything. So what I've done is rigged up this mechanical ice cream man. With it, is a box of ice cream. You've got your chocolate, your vanilla, strawberry, and many other flavors. But there is one more flavor. Inside the decoy is some dynamite. Once I push down on that detonator, the decoy will explode and incapacitate Luffy. It should prove to be an explosion of delectable proportions! Hahahaha!

(Dastardly activates the mechanical ice cream man.)

Ice Cream Man: Ice cream! Free ice cream!

(Luffy makes his way to the ice cream man and begins eating the ice cream.)

He's in position!

(Pushes down on the detonator. But no explosion. He repeatedly pushes down on the detonator, but nothing happens. Finished with his ice cream, Luffy walks away.)

Curses! Why didn't it explode?

(Dastardly walks up to the decoy and begins examining it.)

Hmmm. All the wiring seems to be in place. What went wrong?

(Dastardly stands in place contemplating what went wrong. Meanwhile, Muttley notices that one of the wires was disconnected from the detonator. Being the good dog that he is, he ties it back into place. This causes the decoy to.....

KABOOM!

...explode.)

(After the explosion, Dick Dastardly is still standing in place, but now with his clothes torn up and smoke coming out of his head.)

See? I knew there was nothing wrong with it.

(Dastardly collapses and hits the ground with a loud thud.)

Cologne turned to Zasalamel. "Now, there is no need to take votes against you personally."

Cologne paused, and then continued. "Most of these people genuinely do not know who the last Traitor is. So therefore, they will pick who they think might be likely to do it. Most of them are not doing it out of personal dislike for you or your Organization, but doing it because they believe you have the resources to do it."

Cologne turned to the rest of the group. "This goes for the rest of you as well. Remember, this Traitor Game will end whenever we discover the identity of the last Imperial Stormtrooper. When it is over, I hope you will be able to forgive those who may have voted against you. Most votes against people are not done out of malice, after all. Tendou casted a vote for Zasalamel and quietly stepped outside. To be short, he felt like crap. (So many damn times, I've been wrong. What if I'm wrong again and that slug wins this? I'm certain Kagami and the other riders can handle things, they got the letters after all so they've been warned...Hiyori..) Tendou slammed his fist on the ground. "Dammit."

Chris Lang 03-05-2007 04:58 PM

As the group continued arguing and debating, Darth Jubba's voice spoke over the PA system.

"Ho ho ho ho! So, Cologne, do you really think your pitiful Bounty Hunter has even a chance of taking out my last Imperial Stormtrooper? Your agent will fail again!"

"And oh, just to make things more interesting, I have authorized my last Imperial Stormtrooper to make a kill tonight if your Bounty Hunter does not make a kill first. So that is my challenge, Cologne. Which of our hired killers will make the kill first? We will see in just a few hours! Ho ho ho ho!"

Cologne spoke up. "Should my Bounty Hunter happen to make the right choice, then this game will be over. Do not be over-confident."

"We will see about that! My guess is that even IF your Bounty Hunter strikes again, the victim will once again be an innocent person! And then, I'm sure my remaining Imperial Stormtrooper will find out who your Bounty Hunter is. And then once your Bounty Hunter is gone, you'll have no way to win, given how incompetent these voters have been! I'll speak to you again in a few hours! Ho ho ho ho!"

Cologne turned to the group. "Anything can happen a few hours from now. You must be prepared for all the possibilities we have just discussed, and more."

OOC: The kill is still scheduled for 7pm, by the way.

Hmm... Time to vote again. I wish the bounty hunter had made a kill on time-- all this waiting is maddening. I still vote for Luffy. I mentioned before that he seems a little too intent on just eating and possibly deflecting attention away from his more fighterly tendencies-- didn't he say earlier that he had some major bounty on him for killing some "bad" people? Bad is very subjective. Also, pirates-- Johnny Depp aside, aren't really known for being the best of people. I think maybe the whole one note 'I'm hungry' joke is just to throw him off of our suspicion.

I was doing some more research while everyone else seemed to be debating and watching yet another failed trap attempt by Rube Goldberg in a crash helmet. I researched the past votes and figured out that someone was previously guessed by both rebels in a round where they were declared wrong! That means that particular player is probably innocent.

I ran to find Cologne. I had to tell her about that bit of news-- oh! and also the list of names I'd found on the 'Doomtations' CD...

Chris Lang 03-05-2007 06:22 PM

Cologne saw Willow approaching. The young witch appeared eager to tell Cologne something.

"What is it, child? I see you are eager to tell me something. Make it quick, as I sense we have not much time before someone else is killed."

Ukyo's room

As Ukyo awaited an answer, the orchid spewed a small cloud of pollen at the "Spatula Girl". The cloud smelled subtly sweet and left Ukyo feeling momentarily light-headed. When Ukyo finally came back to her senses, she heard a lilting feminine voice in her mind. Greetings, Ukyo! This One has heard your plea, and she wishes to offer her help.

The voice seemed telepathic, yet somehow beyond telepathy, as if it communicated to Ukyo's spirit, instead of her mind. While the voice "talked" to Ukyo, the girl saw a familiar face that seemed playful and serene at the same time. The raven hair, the knowing look in her eyes...Ukyo saw the Celestial Madonna herself, the enigmatic Mantis. Let the pollen This One sent you work its wonders. We will be able to communicate spiritually while it fills your being.

After allowing Ukyo time to adjust, Mantis promptly moved on to their pressing business. Ukyo could hear an urgency in the Celestial Madonna's words. This One was already partially alerted to the nature of your crisis. She sensed sinister vibrations at work from across the Multiverse, disrupting the fabric of time and space in her own world. At first, This One was confused, as she could not find the source of the unrest on Earth or beyond. Then, she sensed the death of one from her homeworld. Shortly afterward, This One sensed a cry of grief and rage which pierced the dimensional walls. (OOC: nods to Schorn)

Ukyo heard sorrow in Mantis' "voice". However, the sense of urgency soon returned to their dialogue. Later, This One was contacted by an old love who surfs the cosmos to help worlds in need. He told This One that other-dimensional energies were recklessly loosed in insidious ways. A portal remains open between This One's world and that of our mutual enemy. The Sorceror Supreme informed her that the "Traitor games" were still running unchecked. Of particular interest was the presence of a future Sorceress Supreme whom Darth Jubba either wished to corrupt...or kill, to keep her from her rightful destiny.

Ukyo, This One will not allow Darth Jubba to plunder the Multiverse for his own petty ends. She will not stand idly by while he threatens the very balance of the Universe. Now, the fire which Ukyo had seen in the last game came out in Mantis. This One's help is yours, Ukyo. Prepare yourself for the coming battle while She works on uniting a front against Darth Jubba. This One will help you reach Cologne when the time comes.

GoGo Yubari 03-05-2007 06:28 PM

... sigh. Nobody's listening to me, which I suppose I'm kind of used to after spending so much time around Suzumiya Haruhi. Oh, well.

"... so, it looks like it's going to be Zasalamel versus Luffy, no matter how I may insist that Tendou is guilty. This is fair, because this is also focusing on someone I've been suspicious of.

Personally, to really decide on this from an analytical standpoint I had to look back to the voting round where it was Deadpool versus Emma Frost. Of the two, the votes are very telling; Zasalamel voted for Deadpool, and he voted for him early. Luffy, meanwhile, voted for Emma Frost. Actually, Luffy has almost always voted for an innocent person, using the rationale that Tendou is right quite often. I think he voted for Quinn Mallory, but there was no way to NOT vote for him, in my opinion, because the evidence against him was far too clear.

Unfortunately for him, the fact of the matter is that I can't remember a single time where Tendou has been right. Tendou's always either voted for someone who doesn't end up lynched, or an innocent person who DOES get lynched, to the best of my recollection. I don't trust Tendou, but if you're not going to listen to me there, then I'm okay with voting for the second-most suspicious player in this game, Monkey D. Luffy."
Cologne saw Willow approaching. The young witch appeared eager to tell Cologne something.

"What is it, child? I see you are eager to tell me something. Make it quick, as I sense we have not much time before someone else is killed."
"Oh, hey, I did some research, and I discovered that Martin has to be innocent-- y'see, both rebels voted for him in an earlier round and Jubba had said they were wrong. Also, I found a list of names for potential traitor game hosts hidden on the 'Doomtations' CD. Do you think it may be useful? That maybe we can somehow use it to stop any more of these sick games from starting?"

Everyone in Jubba's headquarters heard a thoughtcast filled with long-delayed gratification. At last, a faint glimmer of hope in the miasma surrounding the voting process!

"The list of possible Traitor Game hosts may be useful." Cologne told Willow. "But I do not know if we will be able to actually stop any of these Traitor Games from happening. Failing that, we can at least warn our friends and other acquaintances that they are going on. I believe that these Traitor Games may be a test of some sort. But beyond that, I am unsure as to why they are happening."

--- Ukyo nodded. 'Okay, Mantis. I'm ready. But Shampoo is coming, too. She insisted on it.' , Ukyo thoughtcast.

'I also have one other ally in mind. He's normally a bitter rival. If he ever opens one of his restaurants on my block, he'll have to answer to me. But Darth Jubba's actions are a threat to us both, so he'll be on our side in this one.'

'That one from your dimension you were talking about? I think it's Emma Frost? She'll be able to help us, I think. With that astral travel thing, she's been going back and forth between Tatooine and Dagobah. She seems to know more about what's going on than even Cologne. It's kind of scary.'

'Anyway, I'm ready, and Shampoo's ready. You can bring us and my other ally there any time now.'

Ukyo then turned to Shampoo. "That was Mantis. Get ready, Shampoo. I think we're going to be in one heck of a fight sooner or later."

OOC: How soon this subplot pays off depends on whether or not someone's made a right guess. Who's the other ally? I'll leave that a surprise for now! :)

"Thanks, Cologne. I figured you'd know what to do with the CD.

Here, let me give it to you-- oh! I must have left it in the library-- please excuse me." I run off from Cologne. "Be right back!"

(Hopefully, the rest will be saved.) Tendou thought to himself as he walked to the library.

Marcus looked at the clock and saw that the slection was close at hand.

"Hope we got right. If not, we are in a bad way" Marcus said as he looked around.

"Dom, Cole, Barid, whis I had you guys here. We could use you help" Marcus said as he walked towards the meeting place.

OOC: I love this game.

RUMINATIONS: And so we get closer to the end of the game. Still some fun stuff beforehand.
