And now Part 6 of the Traitor Game Essentials re-presentation of Traitor Game VII: A Galaxy Far, Far Away. In this one, we get the players' reactions to the announcement, plus some more mischief from Dastardly.
"Hey you in the purple over coat, who the hell are you?" Marcus yelled at Dastardly

"And what is with the dog?"
Who am I? Who am I? I am Dick Dastardly! World renowned racer. You may have seen me from the Wacky Races where I dominate the field everytime.

Traitor Game Announcer: World renowned racer? Dastardly, you've never won a single Wacky Race in your entire career. And to top it all off, you cheat....a lot!

It would be most wise of you to shut that yap of yours! And there is nothing wrong with cheating!

Please disregard whatever that announcer says. He is a fool.

As a matter of fact, it would be wise of you to trust me. I am a master strategist. And I do have a plan set in motion. The traitors will never know what hit them!

As for the dog. His name is Muttley.

(Muttley begins to stand up straight with his head held up high eagerly awaiting to hear his master's glowing words about him.)

Do not concern yourself with Muttley. He is nothing but a dumb mutt.

Muttley: (Mumbles angrily) Razza-frazza-gazza-dazza.

Geno listened attentively to the rules of the game. He did not like being whisked away from what could have been the life and death of the Mushroom World for a game. However, Mario, Peach, Mallow and Bowser could probably rout the horde, as they were the ones who he joined with to defeat Smithy. This also could be just the thing to help soothe his nerves, after being a warrior for the Stars for years, one grain would not tip the scales this early.

Hearing things about a 'T.V', Geno decided that it woudl be best to learn more about this world, especially being i na doll-like form with giants around you. Walking over to the room with the T.V., and seeing a few of the participants, he inquired:

"What is this 'T.V' of which you speak?"

Fenix looked the strange duo over with suspicion. Dispite what Dastardly said, Fenix did not trust him. But at the same time he could also be his ally. Then Fenix looked down at muttley and said

"I going to keep an eye on you two. Make sure you don't pull nothing"

Fenix then asked the annoucer. "When was the last time this guy won a race?"

Fenix them made his way back to the kitchen. Mite as well drink some more beer before it is gone.

OT: Cool chracter Purple Skull. I love Dick Dastardly.

Vader watched and listened without comment,he had already tried to find a way out only to find no door or window and his saber rebuffed at every wall and floor. He had too many questions to proceed any farther. For now he will ask and wait till the force moved him into action.

Courage was pushed out of the kitchen before he could get any food. It was time for the large slug and the old woman to explain the game. Courage learned their names, Darth Jubba and Cologne. As explanations continued, though, he got a bit more anxious.

When Cologne ceased talking, the pink dog first thought to access his computer again. But then he realized that he was still hungry and hurried into the kitchen before anyone else could.

Evinlea seethed as Cologne spoke of the Traitor Game. Once again she was just a pawn in someone else's game. She stared hard at Darth Jubba, the fat slug's measly power was like a firefly to Evinlea's Phoenix. Still, that was one consolation, there was no one here with power enough to really harm her. Not only was Evinlea the most powerful being here, she was also nigh-immortal. For now she would play the game. If things went awry she would set things right.

For those who participated in Traitor Game VI, I couldn't help but read Civil War #7 and feel that Cap was deeply affected by his participation in it. ;)

Noticing the pile-up building by the fridge, Dr. Cox decided to do something.

Yeuoh (oh), for the love of God, get away from that fridge!! Now, stretchy weird kid, go find something else to do. You're eatin' all the food. And you, kid with the oddly misshapen hair, go with him, and stay the hell away from the fridge. Now, everyone, we may, as we usually do, eat. "The Curley-Haired, oddly-speaking human is correct," Evinlea said., "You two have engorged yourselves enough for one day. Now while I do not require organic sustenance there are others here who do. Most notably this pink canine," she pointed to Courage who's stomach growled audibly. "Go find something else to occupy your time and let the others enjoy what may be their last meal."

Martin heard Cologne's introduction to the Traitor Game, but he still had a lot of questions about this world and this planet. He vaguely recalled something about a piece of Terran popular entertainment, back when he monitored Earth broadcasts and learned English in his homeworld in the Sirius solar system.

He looked at the woman called Evinlea, whose comandeering authority was more than familiar to him. He shuddered to think what Diana would do with that level of cosmic power.

He could already tell there were parallels between his world and this one. He was vaguely aware that the strange figure in black, with the oddly shaped helmet, had something to do with this planet.

He walked over to Vader. "Hello. I'm called Martin. Previous to this game I was on a ... mission on behalf of my people, who come from the star system of Sirius. Is there anything you might be able to tell me about this planet and its sociopolitical situation?"

Joe Acro 02-22-2007 11:54 AM

Courage nodded at the orange-suited man's offer.

"Mmm-hm!"

When one of the blonde women and the doctor cleared everyone away from the fridge, Courage was happy to have some room to eat. Unfortunately for him, the chairs were filled and the counters were too high. The dog shrugged and began eating the food like any normal dog would. Off the floor.

OOC: I guess Strange's spell on Cap didn't work so well after all...

Perhaps Strange will be noticeably affected as well?
Martin heard Cologne's introduction to the Traitor Game, but he still had a lot of questions about this world and this planet. Cologne approached Martin. "I doubt that Darth Vader will be able to tell you much about the sociopolitical situation of this world. He comes from an alternate reality."

"This planet is called Tatooine. It is almost entirely desert, but the inhabitants are able to find sources of moisture. The vaporators used by the local farmers are a good source of water."

"This planet has also been the main base of operations for the Hutts, who are influential in this galaxy's organized crime units. Jabba the Hutt was the most notorious of the lot. However, he was killed some time ago, and Darth Jubba has inherited his cousin's criminal organization."

"Beyond Tatooine, this galaxy has been ruled for some time by a great Galactic Empire. The Empire was oppressive enough that a Rebel Alliance was formed to oppose it. In the end, the Rebellion scored a signifigant victory with the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and his trusted second, Darth Vader. Darth Jubba, a secret apprentice of Palpatine, is now taking charge of the Empire's remnants."

"This Darth Vader comes from an alternate reality where he was actually able to convince his son to turn to the Dark Side of the Force." Cologne explained. "Darth Jubba especially wanted some version of Darth Vader to participate in this, so he has been summoned here as one of the players."

"And that is all I know, really, about the sociopolitical situation here." Cologne concluded. "I hope this information will be helpful to you."

OOC: From what I heard, Captain America actually decided that fighting wasn't the right way to settle their differences after all. Strange how it took seven issues and several tie-ins to figure that out. Yes, it's a weird coincidence that the previous Traitor Game put Cap through an experience that might cause him to re-think the whole situation. In any case, it's best to look to the Civil War threads for more discussion on Civil War #7, as it's best not to post more detailed spoilers here...

As for the France bashing, that went out three years ago. And it was the Ultimate Cap who said that line, not the 616 Cap. In any case, let's get back to the game.

Without even thinking, Martin replied "My people are governed by our so-called Great Leader, who sent us to Terra in order to infilatrate and convert its leaders and completely take over its political systems. The ultimate goal is to steal the planet's water and take its population for use as slave labor .... and as a source of food. Our mission is led by one called John --"

Martin recoiled, horrified at the way in which he responded so openly to Vader. He didn't even realize he had been forced. He stepped quickly away from the dangerous man.

"Actually, they weren't my dictators at all." Cologne replied. "I'm not a resident of this universe, either. All I have told you is information I learned from speaking with Darth Jubba. I come from a universe where the 'Star Wars' for control of this galaxy -- and in fact this galaxy itself -- are fictional creations, and the subject of a popular series of movies."

Cologne chose not to address the things Vader had forced Martin to admit. They came as no surprise to her, as she had read the backgrounds of each of the participants before they were summoned.

Jubbafacesmall1
Just as she was about to say more, Darth Jubba suddenly returned to the reception area. "Ho ho ho ho!", the Sith Hutt chuckled. "It seems you have been very helpful to our participants, Cologne. Perhaps TOO helpful. I think I shall have you banished soon. I hear Limbo is very nice at this -- "

The Sith Hutt never finished the sentence, because Immortus chose just that moment to appear in front of him. "NO WAY!" Immortus declared. "I am sick and tired of you Traitor Game hosts using my realm as a dumping ground for players you've eliminated. You'll have to find some other place to send them this time!"

And with that, Immortus abruptly teleported out as suddenly as he had teleported in.

"Ho ho ho ho! I can find another place to send eliminated players easily enough. In fact, I've got the perfect place in mind! The Great Pit of Carkoon, nesting place of the all-powerful Sarlaac. In its belly you will experience a new definition of pain and suffering as you are slowly digested over a thousand --"

Once again, Darth Jubba was interrupted, this time by his butler Littlebit Fortuna, who was the younger brother of Bib Fortuna. "I'm afraid that's not possible, sir. You see, Boba Fett escaped from the Sarlaac and returned to blow the creature to little tiny pieces."

"Very well then. We'll just throw the eliminated into the pit, then. It's deep and dark and unpleasant, even without the Sar--"

Littlebit Fortuna interrupted again. "The Pit collapsed when Boba Fett blew up the Sarlaac. It's completely filled in with rubble and desert sand. In fact, it's now difficult to tell it was even there."

Darth Jubba sighed. "I suppose I'll have to think of somewhere else to send people, then. Let's go back to my office and discuss it for a while."

Darth Jubba and Littlebit Fortuna then turned to leave. "And remember, the first kill is just in a few hours! Ho ho ho ho!" With that, Darth Jubba and Littlebit Fortuna left the reception area.

Cologne paused for a bit. "There is only so much I can do to help you." she said to Martin and to anyone else who was listening. "For the most part, you, the players, will be on your own."

Superheroic 02-22-2007 03:13 PM

Evinlea listened to Darth Jubba and Cologne. She contemplated telepathically ripping the identity of the Traitors from his mind but decided she didn't want to soil her mind by touching Jubba's.

Evinlea approached Cologne. "Old One, this Immortus, how is it he is free to come and go as he pleases? Or this Rogue Watcher even? Why must I be part of this game when all I need is access to a star chart or someone who knows this system," Evinlea looked at Darth Vader, "And I can teleport away from here. This petty struggle means nothing to me. My only desire is to return home."

She looked around, "This motley group of characters," Evinlea pointed at Luffy, Goku, Courage, and looked down on Martin, "It is unbecoming of a Goddess to be in their presence. Now, you asked me to stay my hand earlier and I obliged. But it seems to me that this Jubba has over-reached his grasp, he hasn't the power to keep me here. That much is obvious as both Immortus and the Watcher have come and gone as they pleased. I doubt he even weilds the power to bring me here. He must be using some device that parts the curtains between Universes, or maybe there is another pulling the strings behind the stage. If we 'players' are truly on our own, why shouldn't I just bring this whole palace down around that waste of skin Jubba and end him?"

The Purple Skull 02-22-2007 03:59 PM

Traitor Game Announcer: Well Traitor Game fans, it's only a matter time now before Darth Jubba's Imperial Stormtroopers strike. Tensions already seem to be rising within the palace walls. However, some have remained calm about this. Take Dick Dastardly for instance. He seems to be doing some carpentry to keep his mind occupied. What the heck are you doing, Dick?

Well you see, unlike these other fools, I've decided to take a more proactive approach in this game. I shall rid this game of those Stormtroopers and be the sole victor! Then, once I am transported back to my world, I can claim victory in the Wacky Races!

TG Announcer: So what devious plan have you cooked up now, Dastardly?

Well simpleton, I have dug a deep hole and covered it up with this plaster. Once those Stormtroopers step over the gimmicked floor, they'll fall right through. Then, I'll signal for Muttley to pull the rope that will drop that anvil I placed above the trap. They'll never know what hit them! HAHAHA!

Now Muttley, you know what to do. Do NOT release the rope until I say now. Understand?

Muttley: Uh..(Nods head repeatedly) Yeah-Yeah-Yeah-Yeah-Yeah-Yeah.

TG Announcer: Dastardly, how can you be so confident this plan of yours will work? You don't even know who the Stormtroopers are! You might be a traitor!

Highly doubtful. I think I have good idea on who the Stormtroopers are. Look, someone is about to walk into my trap. HAHAHA! Victory will be mine!

(A few people walk over the trap without falling through the hole)

Drat! Why didn't they fall through?

"The Rogue Watcher and Immortus are free to come and go at will because they are not players in the game." Cologne explained. "They can show up whenever they're needed, and then leave to take care of their other multiversal business."

"By himself, Darth Jubba is not powerful enough to keep any of us here, or even summon us here in the first place. I believe you are correct when you say there is another pulling the strings behind the stage. This other has supplied Darth Jubba with a device that allows him to summon everyone and keep them here. However, I suspect that none of us will be able to learn this other being's identity until after the game is over. Even Darth Jubba does not know who this being is."

"For now, we must await the next move of Darth Jubba and his 'Imperial Stormtroopers'. I doubt that there is anything we can do to end the game prematurely. Attempting to bring down this palace might have unfortunate consequences."

Cologne sensed much anger with this Evinlea. She wondered if it would be possible, at some later point, to give Evinlea and the others some means of venting their frustration. Cologne would have to think about it for a while, and maybe discuss it with her 'opponent'.

Cologne approached the hole, and looked in. She smiled. "O ho, it looks like you've gotten yourself stuck in a hole." she remarked. "If you're lucky, your sidekick will take some time out from laughing at your expense to throw you a rope, so you can climb back out of it."

"In any case, I hope you're out of the hole by tonight. That's when the first official voting round will start. I hope to see you then."

And with that, Cologne moved away from the hole.

"Very well Cologne," Evinlea said, "I will abide by these rules. For now."

Evinlea walked over to where the dog Muttley stood over the sprung trap. She looked down into the hole at Dick Dastardly. "If I may offer some advice," she began, "You're trap lacks ingenuity and cleverness. No one here is bound to fall for it."

She turned to Muttley. "Plus your lackey here is a moron. Perhaps you should find someone with a modicum of intelligence." Evinlea thought for a moment. "Here, I will save you the trouble." Evinlea touched Muttley's head. A gleam appeared behind Muttley's eyes.

For those who participated in Traitor Game VI, I couldn't help but read Civil War #7 and feel that Cap was deeply affected by his participation in it. ;)
Yea... Cap was affected...I acutally sort of liked the ending, not some big wrap up, the finale was messy. That and Iron man isnt a total prick like some folks perceived

OOC: Wonder how he's gonna bust out?

Goku, done eating, was up to asking some questions. He approached the old chinese amazon, rubbing the back of his head, while he spoke. "Uhh Miss Cologne, I know you need us in this game and all buuuuut......how long will it take? Cause if I don't get back soon Chi Chi will be maaaaaaaad

I look off to my right to see Al. He's back from talking to Frank, the guy I switched with. Judging by the black eye things didn't go so well.

"If you'll excuse me. I need to go find the bathroom."

I motion to Al to meet me in the bathroom so we can talk privately.

"Al what happened to you?"
Al: "Frank Castle happened to me. Sam that man is a lunatic. I meen it's a good thing Gushie pulled me off that guy when he did. You know I'm a pretty good fighter, I think I could have taken him."
"Al I'm sorry to hear about your fight but do you have any information for me? So far all I have figured out is that my name is Frank Castle aka. the Punisher. And judging by the guns and my clothes he must be a mofia hitman or something."
Al: "Actualy Sam that's were your wrong. Dispite his horrible people skills Frank is a hero. And the place where Frank comes from has many other heroes. Superheroes Sam like Spider-man and the Hulk. I'm afraid I won't be much help this time. Since Ziggy can't tell what will happen in this future, your kind of on your own. Ziggy will still try to come up with probablities, and I'll still check in on you. Good luck Sam and be carefull."
And Al leaves again. I guess I'll try to talk to the others.

Wow. Everyone was scurrying around falling into holes and stuff. Also, can I ask what's up with the bipedal dogs? Hm. I consider doing a calming spell to help the crazier guests simmer down, but I don't know how they or ol' blubber-Hutt over there would take that. Maybe it's best if I keep the magics a little on the hushy side for now. Besides, I can always pull them out if I need them.

Waiting for a murder to happen seems totally strange. Shouldn't we be trying to PREVENT a murder? I mean, weird much? It seems like no one's really worried about that little aspect of this crazy thing. But, hey, I guess when some lunatic is leaving bombs in a refrigerator and someone else is digging pitfall traps, this whole deal may just be another normal Thursday for these guys.

I decide to talk to the little old lady-- Cologne(?) Heh. I wonder if her first name is "Odie." I chuckle a bit and then head over to her.

"Excuse me, Ms. Cologne? I was wondering about this place. Not this dimension-- I think I've gotten the gist of it from overhearing some of the conversations going on here-- but I mean the building we're in right now... Is it safe to wander around? I don't really want Mr. Slugface to get all grouchy-- well, y'know, EXTRA grouchy, but I am curious if there's a library or a place to do some research. Ooo! Maybe a computer! Where I come from, I'm quite the 'net gal! Maybe if I can research some of the people here, I can help figure out who fat, dark, and slimy chose for his creepy gang before they hurt anyone."

"Troublesome pest!" Zasalamel took Irkalla and decapitated Deadpool with it. But when his would-be victim regenerated, Zasalamel cast a spell of silence on the merc.

Schornforce 02-22-2007 06:48 PM

OOC: Hey, moonknight2099, I meant to ask earlier-- but couldn't some people see/hear Al? I remember almost everyone couldn't, but weren't there some exceptions to the rule? Could they see Sam too? It's been forever since I saw Quantum Leap, so I forget who could or couldn't.

I remember the "evil" Quantum Leap team could see them-- I think.

Unable to talk, Deadpool plugs the controller (still attached to Zasalamel) into a power generator.

Zasalamel hastily cast a spell as he was being electrocuted. He teleported away from the controller. Gasping for air, he took a pike and rammed it through Deadpool's shin. The merc was pinned to the floor by the weapon.

"I have heard rumors." Cologne replied. "Zasalamel, I am not sure just what is going on, but I do not think you will be able to bring the Traitor Game to an abrupt end in the first round. My research on the Traitor Games has told me that they never end that easily."

"Zasalamel, if you are to survive, then you must realize that a certain amount of cooperation is needed here, even though you cannot truly trust any of your fellow players."

At that point, Deadpool interrupted for some mischief. "Yes, this is Zasalamel from that video game." Cologne explained. "He comes from a world where he and the rest of the people he interacts with are real people."

"I'm sure you probably recognize many of the others from movies, television, and comic books." Cologne added.

Just then Willow walked up to Cologne.
I decide to talk to the little old lady-- Cologne(?) Heh. I wonder if her first name is "Odie." I chuckle a bit and then head over to her.

"As a matter of fact, there is a library in this building. Darth Jubba showed me the library when I first arrived here and we discussed who was going to be a part of the game." Cologne told Willow. "There are files on just about all the participants in the game."

"However, you might be able to research everyone and you still won't be sure who did it. In the previous game, one of the murders was accomplished with a lightning strike. The problem was, there were five people there capable of attacking with lightning."

"I am afraid that until the Traitors actually strike, we will have no clue as to who they might be. A lot of people here are acting suspiciously, but not all of them can be the Traitors."

"As far as wandering around is concerned, we are free to walk around the ground level all we want. There's this main reception area, there's the kitchen, there's the hallways, the library, and the living quarters. And there's the courtyard for those who want some fresh air. Darth Jubba does have a personal area, though -- and that is off limits to all the players. The other areas I have mentioned, however, are accessable to everyone."

"Oh, and I suppose anyone's free to wander into that new basement that Dick Dastardly dug out here." added Cologne with a smile. "But I don't think anyone would want to."

Cologne's attention was distracted. It appeared Zasalamel and Deadpool had gotten into a fight. Cologne chose not to interfere. They needed to vent their frustration. If things got too out of hand, then she would put a stop to it.

Thanks for answering my questions."

I waved as cheerily as I could muster given the impending dire-ness of the situation and wandered off to at least get a good idea of where each place Cologne had mentioned was located. It wouldn't do any good if I couldn't get my bearings. Whatever happens, I wanted to be make with the readiness. Without Kennedy, Buffy, Xander, Giles, or any of my other friends around, I had to rely on myself-- I'd like to trust the others, but I don't know. Some of them seem much too violent or crazy. This is going to be more on the difficult side than I'd like.

Tendou looked out from the kitchen after preparing meals for the others. "Oh? It seems like we have another person here. I wonder how many more will come?" He mused to himself and decided to talk to the others.

RUMINATIONS: The bit with Immortus was to set up Joe Acro's scenario. Granted, Joe Acro played him as less emotional and more calculating than his very brief cameo here. Perhaps even Immortus can get in a bad mood some time, and he'd had a particularly bad day that day.

The 'Organization' subplot that Eternal Torment had going is set up to play a part in the events to come. It's important to know that Cologne doesn't really know a whole lot about what the Organization is, only that in this case she and the Organization might be allies against a common enemy.

The Re-presentation continues in Part 7.
