And now Traitor Game Essentials continues with part 20 of the re-presentation of Traitor Game VI: Back to Basics. With the battle over, suspicions resume. A correct guess is made, but will the others realize it?

Doombot-6784: My lord, are you going to do something about this? Kassad is running rampant destroying parts of the castle.

No, I say let him vent his frustration. Anyway, I am covered by Damage Control's insurance policy. Kassad is sure going to flip when he gets the bill in 6-8 weeks. Plus, I am sure the rest of the group will not take too kindly with his out-of-control behavior.

tangentman 02-01-2007 12:32 AM

With reflexes honed by a lifetime of intensive training, Mantis darted toward Kassad. Her hand shot out in a chop, hitting the man's wrist and sending the next flechette blast toward the floor. She chided the man's impulsiveness. "Fool! You endanger yourself and the others with your reckless attacks!"

Footsweeping Kassad, Mantis snatched his pistol before he hit the floor. Standing over him, she clucked her tongue in disapproval. "You are not part of this game. Why are you jeopardizing the outcome with your meddling?"

Ukyo turned away from Prez's body with a mournful expression. "If I were an American citizen, I would have voted for you, Prez." she said in a somber tone. "The world needs more people like you. It's a shame you had to get dragged into this mess."

Ukyo then heard that the Secret Avenger was, for a change, right this time. "This ought to be good." Ukyo commented. She listened to Prez's well wishes from Limbo. Once again, she was impressed by how Prez seemed to be wishing peace and love toward everyone, even Dr. Doom.

Kassad went on his rampage, and then Mantis tried to stop him.

"A shame you weren't there during the Doombot fight, Kassad. That might have helped you vent some of your aggression. It worked for the rest of us, anyway." Ukyo said to Kassad. "But Mantis is right. You're not helping anyone by shooting up the place."

Anthony Johanson 02-01-2007 01:34 AM

Jade looked directly at Mantis, and replied:

"You grow tiresome. Every round, you pull your 'Mystical Senses or conclusons of deception' out of your rear end, and vote against me. Well, I tell you, you are incorrect time and time again. Look behind your blind hatred, and actually see evidence for once."

Jade then adressed the remaining survivors, and stated:

" It is a shame that Prez met his end. However, Prez's dig is also incorrect, while he would have pegged me on the motive if I were a traitor, with him continuing to vote against me, the murder does nto conside with me. Well, that and Prez is saddled in with the incorrectness of Mantis. Digressing, I could not have commited this murder of him. Of the many things I am capable of, a hanging via web is not. Therefore,

To add on, I would not have attempted to kill Monarch in that manner. There is too much a chance of failure in that procedure, hence why Doom picked his squad with incompetents. Besides, when I have this much ability at my disposal, why go for something with a chance of failure? To add on, I would not be bothered by the verbal jab by Monarch asking the Squad to work for him, therefore the remaining traitors must have a lapse of judgement embedded in them.

The only people who I can think of as traitors at this point in time is the webbed wonder Spider-Man, James Bond via his technological gadgets, and my favorite suspect Dr.Strange. This will require much thought."

Superheroic 02-01-2007 07:45 AM

Captain America hung his head low at the sight of the Prez. Doombots moved in to try and remove him from the web strand noose. "Don't you touch him!" Cap growled through gritted teeth. Carefully Cap reached up and removed the body, placing it gently on the floor.

"Sorry I wasn't good enough to save you."

Just then the Prez appeared in Limbo.
Cap, I know I'm not your Commander-In-Chief, but keep making this Commander-In-Chief proud back in the world of your Marvel comics!
Cap stood and saluted the fallen President. "I will, Sir. Rest in Peace."

Columbo sits in a chair hunched over looking at his notes. "This is the time I always hate. We have eliminated an innocent man and two more people are killed. I just can't figure it out. We just aren't guessing the right people. Now the rope being made out of webs implicates Spider-man like the spatula did Ukyo last time. Still I don't think the traitors would be that obvious. I don't know. Maybe the Secret Avenger will speak up and send us in the right direction."

Jeff-E 02-01-2007 09:47 AM

The next morning I awoke, and entered the kitchen getting a cup of Dooms cheap coffee. Taking a few sips I addressed the others:

"Look guys, were in trouble here. We keep getting rid of the wrong people. I feel terrible about Bill, I really thought he was the traitor. The powers were all there, he seemed like he fit. Now we have the Prez hung with web fluid. Just like with Ukyo I really think the traitor is using others methods to implicate them, and keep his or her self hidden. But looking at the murders that don't directly implicate someone I'm going with my original vote from last round. I wrongly changed it because, well, I second guessed myself. I won't make that mistake again, Dante is whom I am casting a vote for this time... lets just hope I finally get it right."

Joe Acro 02-01-2007 11:00 AM

My assumption had been correct. Beta Ray Bill was innocent. Even still, he was banished. Prez was killed and hung via web-fluid, possibly provided by Doctor Doom. Luckily, the Secret Avenger was correct. If only I could've deduced who it was...

Chris Lang 02-01-2007 11:10 AM

Ukyo had returned to her quarters to rest. It had been a long day for all of them.

Ukyo awoke refreshed, and joined the rest of the group at the kitchen and dining area. She listened to what Jeff had to say.
"Look guys, were in trouble here. We keep getting rid of the wrong people. I feel terrible about Bill, I really thought he was the traitor. "You're not the only one who screwed up that round." Ukyo told Jeff. "I stuck to my vote for Beta Ray Bill because I didn't want to second guess myself. Dante only made it worse by coming out of hibernation when he did."

"The thing is, there are still two Doom Squad left. One of them apparently uses lightning, and the other we don't really know about. Which do we vote for, Luffy's killer or the other traitor?"

"I don't know. I'd like to hear from the others, first." Ukyo sighed.

tangentman 02-01-2007 01:23 PM

Mantis did not rise to Jade's bait. Instead, she answered with the same calmness she showed in past rounds. "This One has already told you that she votes dispassionately. She does not vote based on blind hatred; She knows how to properly temper her emotion with rational thought. She also realizes that the true killers have expertly deceived us by planting false evidence."

After a short pause, Mantis continued sharing her position. "Yet, she also notices how expertly you deflect ill favor upon others when your own innocence comes into question. This One posits that you not only could kill the victims with electrical-based attacks, but also orchestrate murders which cleverly implicate her companions. Stating that the methods of murder were 'too obvious' to have been you does not negate the probability that you committed those murders. Many killers hide in plain sight." Mantis paused again, this time facing three of the group who had been most vocal in the proceedings.

"She also suspects that your partner has closely followed the events in this game. Your cohort has undoubtedly affected a friendly, and even concerned, manner to throw us off his or her trail. This One imagines that your partner has argued elegantly and consistently in your defense. The final member of the Squad has remained close to the game the entire time. No doubt, wanting to see the results while appearing harmless."

Ukyo chose to dignify only one aspect of Mantis' suggestion with a response. "Are you implying that I'm friends with Jade?" Ukyo asked Mantis. "I've rarely even talked to the guy except to discuss the case. To be honest, he doesn't seem like the sort who goes for pleasant conversation. I'm not saying he couldn't have done it. He's just behaved in some ways that led me to believe he didn't."

"If you're right about him, then he had me fooled. I haven't completely crossed him off my suspects list, if that's what you're thinking. I just put the other lightning wielders higher on the list, and I screwed up. Twice! Do you think I'm happy that I sent two wrong suspects to limbo?"

Ukyo was starting to get more worked up. "Mantis, maybe we should vote for Jade. I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for yet, but I'm tempted to vote for Jade just to get you to vote for someone else for a change!"

She paused. "Mind you, I said I'm tempted. I haven't decided yet."

Superheroic 02-01-2007 05:08 PM

Captain America approached Mantis and Ukyo. "Jade is as likely a suspect as any I suppose. He certainly is extremely intelligent and wields a myriad of powers. I'm not sure of the best option to vote for right now. Frankly I may just vote with the majority this time. Nothing else has worked so far."

Anthony Johanson 02-01-2007 05:11 PM

Jade decided to reply to Mantis's comment:

"Mantis, cut the subtlety, anyone with a brain stem would know that you are lumping in Ukyo as the other supposed traitor. So, by your logic, Shrike was a traitor, as Ukyo defended him. Strange, by extension is also a traitor, as she has consistently defended him also. Oh, and let's not forget Meowth, who should have been a traitor going by your logic. Finally, Prez, who should also have been a traitor. Therefore, this is where your theory does not hold water, especially because you are also defending Strange. Does that make you a traitor?

However, in actual points against Ukyo being the traitor, she could not have commited most of the murders. If she somehow gained dimension warping, lightning, etc. powers while I was somewhere, then I may look closer into the matter. Therefore, aside from the spatula, then Ukyo seems a not very likely candidate."

Jade then turned to Ukyo, and remarked:

"So you would vote me out, already knowing that your thoughts on the matter are conflicted. Even so, you would be helping to vote out another innocent. Therefore, before you start pointing that figner in my direction, there are still more viable suspects. Yes, I am one of great intelligence, and yes, I could have commited some of the murders. However, some I.E. the dimension warping and web hanging are completely out of my realm of possibilities.

Sure, a counter-point could be that I invented those items, but why do that? With my considerable intelligence, I easily could have made items that left no traces, as opposed to the ones with flaws. Well, that and we already ruled out that I cannot make clones in these short periods of time."

moonknight2099 02-01-2007 05:50 PM

Columbo listened to everyone carefully. He walks over to Jeff-E "Excuse me Jeff was it. I think you might be right about Dante. It sounds like he could have done some of the murders. It also is suspicious that he only speaks once a round, and only to vote. He could be trying to lay low. To fly under our radar, so we forget about him. Well I don't think that tactic will work this round. I vote for Dante. I just hope we are right about this. I hate voting off innocent people."

"Jade, I didn't say I was voting you out yet." Ukyo replied, trying desperately to be patient. "I'd rather stay out of this whole argument between you and Mantis, but there's just too much at stake here! Either one of you could be one of the Doom Squad."

"Thanks for bringing up the Shrike case, Jade, but I suspect that won't mean anything to Mantis or anyone else who might be trying to say I did it. They'll probably say I only changed my vote just so I could have a chance to kill him after Vader was banished. But I already went over it with the Rogue Watcher when he asked me to plead my case."

"Of course, a lot's happened since then. I'll tell you THIS much. If I hadn't been so upset over what happened to Meowth, I would have laughed at the killers' pathetic attempt to pin Dent's murder on me. Yes, I was the first person to suggest Dent might already have been killed and we just hadn't found the body, but that doesn't mean I did it. They were probably holding him captive down there the whole time. When I brought up the possibility he was already dead, they probably decided to kill him with that spatula."

"The fact that they just left the spatula in his body shows that they're not just trying to pin this on me, they're trying to make me look stupid! If I DID kill him, would I really be in such a hurry that I'd leave the spatula stuck in his body?"

"Jade, I don't know if you're capable of making webbing or not, but I know I couldn't have gotten hold of something resembling Spider-Man's webbing. The closest thing I have is the yakisoba noodles I use in combat, and they don't look ANYTHING like webbing."

"Jade, besides you, who else is a good suspect? I know there's Dante and James Bond, but can you think of anyone we haven't considered yet?"

Schornforce 02-01-2007 06:29 PM

I wuz jus' sittin' round in limbo hummin' alla' da songs I know... *sigh* I shoulda' brung a book. Anyhow, Doctah Zoom announced da' latest banishment an' den it wasn't too long before dat Burgah Bay Phil guy appeared.

"Tough luck, pal. I knew you wuz framed," I said sadly.

Den came da shocker. Dat poor Pez guy got 86ed. Too bad. He wuz real nice.

"Feel free ta have a seat. We gots lotsa time here. Did anyone bring some cards or some'tin?"

 • sigh* T'ings seem down an' out here. I wish I could be more help... Dat reminded me-- I wondah how t'ings're goin' back home...

Meanwhile, back in Kanto/Johto/Orange Islands/Hoenn/Orre/wherever...

Ash is confronted by Jessie and James who are in disguise-- as EACH OTHER! Wobbuffet has a little Meowth hat on.

Ash: *gasp* who're you?! Pikachu slaps Ash upside the head, jolting what little memory the brain-dead 10 year old has Ash: You're Team Rocket! Even though you're not currently doing anything wrong, I'm going to have my fat, fat rodent here blast you with enough electricity to level a city block!!!

Jessie (as James): You must have us confused with some OTHER fabulously evil and overwhelmingly stylish super-villain team!

James (as Jessie): Yes, while it's easy to see how you could confuse us with someone as outrageously fantastic and oh so amazingly fearsome as the esteemed, world-renowned Team Rocket, sadly, it is our curse and burden that we aren't them.

Wobbuffet (as Meowth): WOBBUFFET! *salutes*

Brock: Hrm... what's wrong with your Meowth?

Jessie (as James): Oh! he um... can only do impersonations of Wobbuffets. He's quite good at it, isn't he? *forced grin*

Ash: Huh? Pikachu sighs and lets loose a minor thundershock attack frying off Team Rocket's "brilliant" disguises.

Ash: *GASP* YOU'RE TEAM ROCKET!!! I choose you, Charizard!

Ash actually releases whatever water pokemon Nintendo wants to merchandise to gullible and insatiable kiddies this episode.

Ash: Use vine whip!

The water pokemon looks confused and then just squirts water gun at James.

James: *glurg* EEEEE!!! You ruined my mascara!!!!

Jessie: YOU MONSTER!!!

Back in limbo...

"Oh bruddah. Dat bit wuz pointless."

I decided ta try an' plead wit' dose remainin' palookas at da mansion again. "Hey, youse guys! Remembah, I t'ink variety is da key here! Whoevah da traitahs are, dey used weapons dat otha' folks from diff'rent woilds use! Dey also kin fry an' zap folks wit' pretty dead on shootin'! I t'ink it has ta be some mook what kin repl'cate otha's weapons or powahs AN' use 'em wit' enuff skill ta be effective! I t'ink da traitahs are pickin' off da weakah agents foist. Dat big green lug an' da goil wit' a rack comparable ta James' inflatables are still propped up in a cornah somewheres! Troo, some heavy hittahs got voted out, but da traitahs don' seem ta be takin' em on d'rectly-- mebbe dey're too scared ta face 'em head on.... mebbe dey needs ta try an' vote da more powahful guys inta limbo an' den take out da weakah ones wit' fancy-schmancy attacks what frame otha's! Don' give up, tho'! I gots faith in mosta' youse!

Oh, an' one more t'in-- dat Gen'ral guy may be shootin' up da place, but my Mighty Mallet Meowth Mecha Mashah is still playin' whack-a-vase wit' alla' dat dippy Doctah's pottahry! So take dat, yah um... metalhead... doctah... guy...."

The Rogue Watcher Report!

A Flash of Lightning! The Theme to Beverly Hills Cop! And once again we are treated with the presence of
Roguewatcher

The Rogue Watcher

The Rogue Watcher!

Finally, the ordeal with the Doombots has passed. I was beginning to wonder if the mess we all made was ever going to be cleaned up.

Anyway, for this round of inquisition, I call Jade Curtiss up to the stand! Plead your innocence!

As the Rogue Watcher waited for Jade's response, the singing Doombots (now renamed "The Doomtations") began humming the theme to Beverly Hills Cop.

Hmm. I like you five. Have you all considered maybe trying to break into the music industry?

Anthony Johanson 02-01-2007 08:58 PM

Jade calmly walked up to the Rogue Watcher, and began his case:

"It was inevitable that I would have been called up to the stand sometime. Whatever the case, I will staunchly state my innocense. However, to get some things straight again, yes, it was a plausible motive that I could have commited some of these murders. With my considerable intelligence, plus my powers over basic magic and the like, yes I could have done some. I will also not feed you any deceptions about my past ties or causes, as they are moot points in this traitor game, for anyone can be twisted.

However, there are a few stumblings blocks in which that I could not have been a traitor. You know that dimension warp to the Tree of Pain? In my entire land, we had absolutely no technology whatsoever that even matched tha toutput. Before this instance, I didn't know such capabilities existed. How could I make something that I had no ability of knowing? Now, my firmest detractor A.K.A Mantis, will probably say something about Doom giving me the items, however, that makes every single person's case moot.

Another slip in the problems is the murder of Prez. Now that, I have no doubt that was used to set me up. As Prez had, wrongly for that however the murder is where everything gets scrambled. Murder by web would be the least plausible way of killing him for me. I could have roasted him, deprived him of breathing, all that stuff which would have been much more effective, and more attuned to my style. Sure, my firmest detractor A.K.A Mantis could state that just becuase it is not formed to my style of murder, I still could have done it. Once again, Mantis has an affinity for shooting herself in the foot, as that renders almost everyone's arguments moot.

Finally, while I am a genius as it were, note the murders. I.E. Luffy's death via Lightning induced dismemberment via glass. Why go through all that trouble? I could have jsut caught him off guard, and decapitated him with little to no trouble. Evidently, they did not have such capabilities, and had to resort to other means. This seems to be an underlying factor with most of the murdrrs, either A)The murder cause does not match up, or B) The way of murder does not match up. Therein lies my innocense, I hope this was factual enough."

Chris Lang 02-01-2007 09:37 PM

As Ukyo was talking with Jade and Mantis, Meowth spoke from the limbo monitor.
Ukyo guessed that Meowth was talking about the Hulk and Power Girl, but wasn't sure what he was referring to when he mentioned 'James' inflatables'. She decided it was better not to ask.

"Thanks for the advice, Meowth. I'm sure that at least one of the Doom Squad is a 'heavy hitter' of some sort. As for the other, your guess is as good as mine."

"I guess you and Kassad need to get your revenge somehow, but I think we still have need of the castle until the game's over. Maybe you both should take it easy on the castle until we're near the end."

"I was kind of busy during that Doombot fight, but I did catch a glimpse of you on the limbo monitor. You and Moon Knight made a good team! Hang in there, Meowth. Maybe we'll find a way to get you all out of there."

With that, Ukyo turned her attention back to Jade. It was at that point that the Rogue Watcher showed up again, and called Jade to the stand.

Ukyo thought it was kind of odd that the Rogue Watcher would summon Jade to do the same thing he had been doing for the last few minutes. She decided to listen in. After Jade was finished, she spoke.

"You made some good points. There's still a lot we don't know about these murders. We're all pretty sure someone powerful killed Luffy. The other Traitor could be anyone. So far, we've got at least two votes for Dante. But there are some other good suspects."

"I'd still like to see how the others vote, first. Especially since the Secret Avenger made a correct guess this time."

Anthony Johanson 02-01-2007 11:37 PM

Jade noted Ukyo's statement , and replied:

"Well, it has become so clsoe that I cannot discern a clear cut traitor. However, it is also near impossible to discern the secret avenger. Thereofre, we just have to look at people who vote for the same person twice, minus Mantis, for the succeeding rounds. That will give a tell-tale indicator on whom the Avenger is telling us to vote for."

Superheroic 02-02-2007 08:25 AM

"You shouldn't be discussing who you think the Secret Avenger is," Cap said. "If the Doom Squad is listening, and you know they are, speculating on who may be the Secret Avenger is a surefire way to getting them killed."

Cap looked around at the others. "The SA has finally guessed right, we just have to trust they can get the message across without being too obvious about it. That's why I am waiting a bit to vote. The more votes we have the more we may be sure that the SA has voted. But we are running out of time, I only hope more people vote soon. Otherwise I will have to make a best guess again."

Joe Acro 02-02-2007 09:32 AM

I knew I needed to make a decision and, with a little difficulty, I came to one. I spoke:

"I had previously removed him from my list of suspects, but I believe that Dante is a traitor. However, I am still open to suggestion."

"Thanks L.T. I appreciate the vote of confidence and I'm glad you agree about Dante. You hit the nail right on the head about him staying silent until voting time. I really don't think he's the one who is doing the "impression" murders, but I'm pretty sure he's the lightning user, and the cat who skinned the Bat. I'd like to wait to try and figure out who the S.A. votes for but I just can't wait and put all my faith in to a vote I don't fully trust. I know the S.A. got it right but I haven't seen him or her speak up so I have to trust my own instincts."

Ukyo spoke to Captain America. "You're right, Captain. I had my ideas as to who the Secret Avenger was, too. I even suspected Beta Ray Bill of being one of them. But there IS one Secret Avenger whose identity we already know, and that's the Shrike!"

"The Shrike might have made some guesses in the first two rounds. The Shrike never really spoke, but Kassad appears to be his confidant. Maybe he can tell us who the Shrike guessed, so we can stop suspecting them."

Ukyo shrugged. "It's worth a try, anyway."

Superheroic 02-02-2007 10:07 AM

"Something tells me that won't work Ukyo. Its probably against Doom's rules. Besides, Shrike didn't last long enough to make many guesses." Cap turned as Doctor Strange made his next vote. "That's three votes for Dante. It looks like we may have our next banishment target."

"With our luck, he probably only guessed people who've already been eliminated." Ukyo said with a sigh. "But I guess that's...what's the expression? Sour grapes?"

"Dante and Jade are probably the only lightning wielders left, unless James Bond has some gadget that can simulate lightning or something like that. I guess we're voting for the 'lightning wielder' in this round."

"I could change my vote later if someone makes a good enough case, but for now, I'm voting for Dante."

Superheroic 02-02-2007 11:03 AM

Cap thought for a moment. "Fine. Doctor Strange has been a frequent ally in the past and he did support my vote for James Bond earlier. Plus I implicitly trust Jeff's judgment. Dante, you are a member of the Doom Squad!"
As Ukyo was talking with Jade and Mantis, Meowth spoke from the limbo monitor.

"T'anks, Ukyo! I'm glad youse t'ought Mooney an' me wuz a good team-- mebbe I should make him an honorary Team Rocket membah! Youse can be one too, if ya want! Dis whole t'ing seems more like a guessin' game dan a mystery, if ya want my opinion, but I t'ink youse guys all seem ta be on da right track!! Yay fer youse! My Mighty Meowth Mallet Mashin'... somet'in, I fergit only targets dat dipsy doctah's pot'ry barn collection, but if youse t'ink it's too dangerous fer it ta be roamin' around smashin t'ings, next time youse see it, jus' say "Mondo" which is da passwoid ta stop it! Don' worry 'bout me, kid, focus yer worry 'bout yourself an' da otha' good guys! Den, when alla' dat's taken care of, we kin worry 'bout gettin' alla' us outta dis zany place!

Oh, one more t'ing. Remembah when I said dat da li'l robot has a surprise or two in store? It should be ready tomorrah! Take care a' yerself, Ukyo! You'll figger it out! I believe in youse!"

Jeff-E 02-02-2007 07:33 PM
"Something tells me that won't work Ukyo. Its probably against Doom's rules. Besides, Shrike didn't last long enough to make many guesses." Cap turned as Doctor Strange made his next vote. "That's three votes for Dante. It looks like we may have our next banishment target."
Again I was filled with a mixture of pride and nervousness:

"Cap, I appreciate your faith in me, but I hope you are making your guess based on your own opinion rather than my guess. I don't want to be responsible for the banishment of another innocent. I'm confident in my vote but I can only take responsibility for my own vote. I've weighed what happened to each person and Dante is the person who makes the most sense out of whose left... But someone could be setting him up just like they tried to with the web fluid and the spatula framing Spiderman and Ukyo. I just, well I guess I know how Rick Jones feels being a normal human that hero's actually listen to. I'm a little uneasy though, I don't know if the Secret Avenger has spoken yet, if he or she has, than my guess was right, if the S.A. hasn't, we may all be making a huge mistake. At this point only time will tell"

"Between that Doombot battle and Kassad's shooting up the place, I'd be surprised if anyone even noticed your robot." Ukyo remarked.

"Thanks for the confidence, Meowth. This whole thing has been crazy. I just hope we've voted for the right person this time."

Jeff-E spoke next.
Again I was filled with a mixture of pride and nervousness:

"Cap, I appreciate your faith in me, but I hope you are making your guess based on your own opinion rather than my guess. I don't want to be responsible for the banishment of another innocent. "The problem is, the Secret Avengers were picked out randomly." Ukyo said. "We don't know what approach they'll take. But they really shouldn't wait till the last minute to speak up, or else there's no point in their even being there."

"Jeff, you were right about Wolverine and Darth Vader early on, so don't be too hard on yourself." Ukyo said, smiling. "I think Dante's a good choice, too. He has the abilities, and his timing in the last round was very suspicious if you ask me. He voted just at the last minute. He probably thought one of us who'd voted for Beta Ray Bill was going to change their vote soon, and he'd better get his vote in just in case we voted for him."

"Anyway, unless something surprising happens, like Chris Jericho or Power Girl voting, or someone giving a good case for someone else, Dante's going to be banished soon. I guess we'll find out if we're right about him soon enough."

Pheonix-NoRelation 02-02-2007 10:14 PM

I agree with all the rest; Dante did it. Them. Both. He killed both of them! Why was that so hard to get out? Sad thing is, I'm a teacher too.

"Like a sturdy young oak, so does my suspicion of Jade grow. This One will not be deterred by taunts or rationalizations of convenience. Though she votes alone, She votes for Jade once more."

"You know something." Ukyo said. "You COULD be right about Jade all along, but the problem is, you've voted for Jade too many times. People aren't going to go along with you. I guess the joke's on all of us if you're right."

"I guess it's time to say goodbye to Dante, now. Not that any of us ever really chatted with him or anything. And then someone's going to get killed. I guess Jade's safe, because if anything happened to him, you'd be out of your Jade rut and free to vote for anyone."

Ukyo did not really feel like saying anything else. No one was talking much, really. They all knew that someone was going to be murdered soon, and that there'd be nothing they could do to stop it.

Ukyo looked at the others one at a time. She saw the look on the faces of some of them. Hopeful, yet fearful at the same time.

There was nothing anyone could do but wait now.

I'll post the update in a few minutes.

Nervous Pacing

The Purple Skull 02-02-2007 11:35 PM

Banishment was now!

So, who has been voted out?

Captain America: We find Dante guilty of being one of the traitors.

(Dante is banished)

…..Curses! You have found another traitor! This is starting to anger me. To the last member of the Doom Squad, and you know who you are, do NOT fail me! Or you shall live to regret it!

Hours pass, and the group is suddenly summoned to the Hall of Doom. There, they find the next victim of the Doom Squad.

(Sarcastically) By the Aching Asses of Agamotto! Dr. Strange has been killed! It seems that the so-called Sorceror Supreme could not handle the wrath of my last Doom Squad member. After the banishment, Strange made his way back to his living quarters. There he was confronted by the Doom Squad’s final member who proceeded to flood his floor with water. As Strange stepped on the floor, ZAP! The traitor hits the floor with electricity. Knowing this would probably not kill the mage, the traitor rushed Strange, cut off his hands, and stabbed him in the heart with some kind of a blade. Fire then seemed to appear blasting the walls. I was surprised you all didn’t hear that. Anyway, voting begins! HAHAHAHAHA!

OOC: Deadline will be on Monday 11 PM ET.

Secret Avenger: Send in your next guess asap.

And so, shortly after deliberations, Dante was banished. However, shortly thereafter, I was caught by surprise in the hallway near my chambers. The assailant moved too quickly for me to react, bombarding me with the elements and a few physical attacks. As I fell, I had a happy thought. My last action had been to condemn a guilty man. That seemed to be the only thing of importance at the time.

My soul was soon directed toward Immortus's Limbo. As soon as my journey was complete, I decided to meditate. For even the soul needs cleansing.

Anthony Johanson 02-02-2007 11:52 PM

Jade crossed his arms on his stomach, and adressed the situation:

"These traitors, very clever, using my words and twisting them for their gain. Well, I've said it beofre and I will say it again, I, Jade Curtiss, did not commit this murder. Despite the fact that I did have an open grudge with the good doctor, a fact these traitors are trying to implicate for their own desires. However, there is one thing I neglected to tell them, I do possess an ability that allows a great expulsion of energy. Toe-to-toe with the Sorcerer, I could not have survived going by that strategy. Like Ukyo, and others before me, this is a clear implication.

The only one, other than myself who is capable of such things is James Bond, due to his bevy of gadgets."

RUMINATIONS: Well, we're closing in on the end. Much of what's said here is setup for what's going to come later.

The re-presentation continues in Part 21.
