And now Part 3 of the Traitor Game Essentials re-presentation of Traitor Game VI: Back to Basics.

Joe Acro 01-17-2007 03:31 PM

Captain America, always the strategist, began trying to gather information.

"No, Captain. I have already pried into their minds as much as I wish. I will not betray my morals or the intent of the game by doing more. I hope you understand."

Spidey-kid1 01-17-2007 03:42 PM

Luffy walked through the halls to explore the mansion and learn his way around. He noticed multiple people also around the mansion.

"Wow...there ware more people than I thought was in that group...what a big house."

Luffy then looked out a window.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! I'm so high up! I wonder if sanji, nami, usopp, zoro, franky, robin, or chopper are here."

He then sprinted around the mansion calling their names.
"No, Captain. I have already pried into their minds as much as I wish. I will not betray my morals or the intent of the game by doing more. I hope you understand."
"Of course Doctor," Captain America said. He was unsure if Dr. Strange was admitting to knowing more and not just not willing to share his intel, or if he just didn't know anything at this point. This was a good strategy though. If Strange did know something and the Doom Squad was listening in it wouldn't do to tip his hands too early. "We'll have to do some digging the old fashioned way."

Captain America approached Moon Knight. "Moon Knight. I'd heard you were back in action. I assume you've taken a stance on the Registration Act. I was hoping I could count on your help when we get back to New York."

OOC: Well I've got to be away from the computer for a couple of hours. Weirdo, feel free to answer and I'll get back a post back to you. I like your portrayal of the Scrubs characters too. I easily see the actor's faces when they have dialogue!

Anthony Johanson 01-17-2007 04:00 PM

Jade, noticing the Shrike acting suspiciously, thinks:

"Well then, he couldn't have made his position more obvious if he ran around covered in blood shouting "I'm a Squader!". If I am lucky, they'll all be this lacking in intelligence."

Young Avenger 01-17-2007 04:21 PM

The lights in the castle dim. Everyone wonders what's going on. Suddenly they hear the sound of a countdown. Afterward they hear someone say

"BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!!!"

The lights come back on and they see Chris Jericho in the middle of the meeting room with his arms extended and legs spread. He has a mic in his hand and yells "Welcome to Doom Castle is Jericho!"

Tendo Souji walked around the mansion. (So far they're have been no worms sighted. Also, none of the other rider's are here either.) He thought to himself. He then saw a kid running around in a straw hat. "Excuse me!" He called to him.

Eternal Torment 01-17-2007 05:02 PM

The Undertaker entered the room, causing the lights to turn off and back on. "I can feel it. The Doom Squad will strike soon."

Crimson King 01-17-2007 05:05 PM

A copy of The Shrike also spied on Dr. Doom as well. The copy was gone in a nanosecond. Armed with its vast knowledge, The Shrike continues to observe the beings in the room quietly, searching for any hostile activities against him.

A kid wearing a straw hat ran past him, almost hitting him. One of his spikes caught a part of the hat, cutting it in half.

Weirdopky 01-17-2007 05:06 PM

JD had been greeted by Captain America, who had called him Moon Knight. This had proven his theory.

Are you... wow, you're Captain America, right? Well, nice to meet you. You may think I'm Marc Spector, but...

Doom! Vader seems to remember a Doom from a long time ago.Sometimes his memory is a little hazy, this wasn't the first time he's been out of his time period or his universe for that matter. Almost all the beings here wore bright colors and had strange powers which had nothing to do with the force.

Allies! He need to get some allies to take this doom person down.then maybe he could rule here.Bah. who wants to rule this place where people made of knives appeared and disappeared at will.

That batman! he seems like a creature that would understand him and also one that knows what going on here. He will befriend this bat.

"Batman! I think together we can find the traitors scum and make them feel my blade across their necks. We can become a team here at this place that watches each other backs. I know we can get along cause we both wear black."

Vader and batman walked away talking about how much they had in common.
Before I could respond to Captain America, he had moved on to deal with the disconcertion of Jeff, a man from a world without any sort of super-abilities. Almost immediately after, though, Beta Ray Bill, of whom I had previously only been an acquaintance of, asked me a rather startling question. ... In keeping in touch with mystic and cosmic forces, I knew that Bill had indeed undergone a transformation quite recently. I also knew that Asgard had been destroyed, which was also the explanation for why Thor hadn't been seen in weeks. This Bill, however, did not appear to be changed. That would most likely mean that this is a Bill from another reality or, perhaps, one from a time just a few weeks earlier. Unfortunately, I was unaware if he had visited Asgard or not in my own reality and time. If he had, my telling him the fate of Asgard might corrupt the timestream in some way.

"It is good to see you, Bill. I do indeed know the fate of Thor and Asgard, but I do not wish to divulge it. I know not whether you will learn of it when placed back in your proper time and reality. Therefore, I do not wish to affect your fate. I hope you understand."
"Art thou not the same Doctor I met trying to stop Thor's warrior madness some time back? Hailing from the Village of Greenwich in New York? I sincerely think so. We are indeed of the same time and place."

He told Doctor Strange the story his most recent adventure, filling in many a detail.

"...so indeed, I have gone through a change. My people are gone, taken from me from a white-cloaked persona, yet I am reborn with a new body and armor, though it would appear my costume and body hath changed upon my arrival here..."

Bill spun Stormbreaker with ease, changing his old Asgardian appearance into his current form and blue armor, then back again.

"It would seem my hammer can still alter appearance. I suppose I shall stay in my old attire; it appears to be desired by an other of higher power."

He patted the Doctor on the back, strongly albeit, but unintentionally so.

"So how art thou, Strange? Thou appear famished and to have lost a bit of weight since last I saw you. Shalst we have a feast?"

He noticed a dull look in the Doctor's face.

"Has something transpired that I am not aware of?"

Great. What else could go wrong wit' my day?! Aftah I came to, I noticed a bunch o' people (at least I t'ink dey wuz all people-- some of 'em looked kinda like pokemon...) all gaddered around listenin' to some guy in a metal mask-- I t'ink it wuz Leonardo DiCaprio or somet'in-- (James wouldn't shaddup about dat movie). Anyhow, ironface kept goin on an on about some'tin or anudder-- I think he mentioned traders. I wondered what we'd be tradin'. I didn't have any'tin' ta trade, but maybe I could steal everyone else's tradin' doodads an' bring 'em back! Jessie an' James'd be so happy!

Metalpuss finished his speech an' left us all in da room. Someone I used to be in a couple 'Kids WB' spots wit' decided ta talk. Since he wasn't singin' da Jigglypuff song, (I loved dat promo!) I tuned him out. He kinda reminded me of Gligarman, tho'.

My poor tummy started rumblin' and I was walkin' around da room unnoticed as alla da 'traders' were gabbin' about dat Doctah Houndoom or whoever. I wondah when I'll see him.

I hope dey have pokemon food here, or at least a decent buffet. I left alla dose losers chattin' da day away while I went in soich of da kitchen... I t'ink I accidentally knocked ovah a vase on my way out, but I don't t'ink anyone noticed.

Aftah a few minutes wanderin' da halls, I was feelin' pretty lost. Dis place should have a directory or somethin! I wish Jessie an' James were here! T'ings like dis seem a little less scarier wit' dose two around (not dat I'd tell dem dat)...

As soon as I stahted to walk down a ratha dark corridor, I bumped into dis large, scary, spikey guy! "MEEEEEEEYOOOOOOWWTH!" I screeched. Right before I passed out (again), I could sweah I saw da spikey guy fade away as quickly as he appeahed.

Man. My life wuz a lot simpler chasin' after dat brain-dead twoip an' his ovahly fat electric rodent!

People had already starting forming alliances and learning more information about each other. I found it disappointing, despite the inevitability of it.

I was once more approached by Beta Ray Bill, who continued our discussion from minutes before. He recounted his most recent adventure, which included the fate of Asgard, and noted, quite correctly, that his costume had been transformed back to its previous form. Then, he asked these questions:

So how art thou, Strange? Shalst we have a feast? Has something transpired that I am not aware of?

To each I responded.

"Beta Ray Bill, I have seen better days. The world is in turmoil and, due to my abilities, I have chosen to seclude myself. I actually find this game refreshing, despite the danger associated with an unfavorable outcome. Do you not know of the troubles in the United States? Where the heroes fight amongst themselves and villains are granted pardons to track down those heroes who go against the government's wishes? I have not truly chosen a side and, truthfully, do not know what to expect. But, yes, Bill, if you know where there is food, I would rather enjoy a good meal."

Columbo was amazed at all the unique people in front of him. Most of these strange people he didn't recognise. He decided to walk around and get to know them better. He started over toward Ukyo.

"Excuse me miss.. miss.. Hi, Lieutenant Columbo, LAPD. I couldn't help over hearing your conversation with Captian America. Did you say you knew a person that was in a game like this before. Interesting. I don't supose I could take a look at that journal you were talking about. And you should probably stay close to Captain America and Batman. A little lady like yourself could get hurt with all of these rough charactures around." He started to walk away. Then he turned to look at Ukyo again and said.

"Oh just one more thing, I heard you were making some food. I don't suppose there's any chilli in there. I would love to have some. My wife thinks I shouldn't eat it. But I figure it couldn't hurt once in a while. Oh and if you decide to let me look at that journal, come find me."

"Ah, Doctor, I understand your stance, but thou should act as a neutral in defense of civilians. With villains lurking, they art in danger, no?"

"I digress. Onto your hunger; you are in luck, friend. Spider-Man has told me of a place where human food is served for free! I dine there regularly as Simon Walters, my human guise."

Bill spun his hammer, attempting to open a portal back to Midgard. I mean, Earth, verily. Nothing happened.

"...a travesty. It would appear we are stuck here by the same otherworldy force that brought us. Perhaps there is a food preperatory in the vicinty?"

Joe Acro 01-17-2007 06:55 PM

Beta Ray Bill had attempted to flee Castle Doom if only for a meal. the mystical forces present were too great to overcome. I had not thought of trying to open a portal to the outside world.

So, I said, "Let me try to get the food, Bill. If I fail, perhaps I can summon food to us instead."

That is precisely what I tried. Neither worked. "By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggarth! It appears we are sealed off from the rest of reality. I guess this means I shall have to search the building for food. Pardon me as I summon forth my astral self."

I floated above the ground and meditated, drawing mystical energy inward in order to draw my astral form outward.

"I don't have the journal with me." Ukyo told Columbo. "I know how serious Cologne sounded, but I couldn't keep carrying it around all the time. I mean, we never know when or if we might get chosen for one of these games."

"But I remember what she said in the journal. She said that even the heroes are not above suspicion. One of the traitors in her game turned out to be a super-hero, and the other an ordinary teenager who'd been given some cosmic super-weapon. Captain America seems okay, but for all we know, he could be one of the traitors. Cologne made the point over and over again that it's the host who picks who the 'traitors' are going to be."

Columbo brought up the subject of food. Ukyo then overheard the horse-faced creature, who called himself Beta Ray Bill, ask if there was a food preparatory in the vicinity.

"If this is anything like the game Cologne was in, I'm sure the kitchen's not far from this Main Hall."

Ukyo took a look around the Main Hall where most of the 'chosen' were gathered. The Main Hall was indeed a very large room, capable of fitting well over 90 people. Three hallways led away from the area, presumably to bathrooms, closets, and guest living quarters. There was also an archway, beyond which was what appeared to be a dining room.

"There's the dining room. I'm sure the kitchen is right there next to the dining room. Let's see if it's as good as the one Cologne found in that workshop."

Ukyo entered the dining room, and was instantly impressed by the rich furnishings. The long dining table could seat well over twenty people, though Ukyo wondered if there would be any big formal meals during their visit.

On the north side of the dining room was the kitchen. Ukyo stepped into the kitchen to see what it was like.

The kitchen appeared to be modern and up-to-date, but it had some more ancient cooking methods in addition to modern conveniences like electric stoves, microwaves, and refrigerators. On one side of the room was a door marked 'Freezer Room'. Ukyo grimaced in revulsion as she recalled some portions of Cologne's journal. "I hope we're not going to have to dump dead bodies in there like the last game." she said out loud, to no one in particular.

"Doom really has a nice place here," she said. "It's a shame it's probably going to get messed up in a few hours when people start killing each other."

Ukyo noticed a note on the counter. On closer inspection, it turned out to be a recipe for Latverian Meatloaf. Ukyo sighed, as she recalled something Cologne had said to her about Doom. "I guess I'd better memorize this recipe just in case Doom comes calling."

Prez was worried. He had no idea what Doom's plans for his America were. If he lost here, there would be no defense. He hated the war-like nature of his duties as Commander in Chief, but he was fully prepared to mobilize for a just war.

He turned to Ukyo. "Greetings, Ukyo. I'm Prez Rickard. I serve as President of the USA back in the last dimension I was at."

"Ukyo, I hate war more than anything in the world. I like to work for the promise of peace, always. But I have to do anything I can to protect my country, and the world.

Would you mind, at your convenience, giving me more info on the previous traitor game?

"Thanks," said Ukyo, smiling. "If you like okonomiyaki, I'm sure you'll LOVE the way I make it."

"I wish I had brought that journal Cologne wrote with me." Ukyo said, her expression changing. "I guess I can summarize what happened. Some crazy Santa Claus from an alternate universe called Earth Y summoned Cologne, Dr. Doom, and 16 other people to an underground complex below his workshop. He picked the Flash and Archie Andrews as his traitors, who he called 'renegade elves'. They managed to kill many of the people there, but the crazy Santa had them resurrected just so he could force them to watch Christmas movies in some prison he'd created."

"While they didn't actually banish the last traitor, they DID catch Archie in the act while he was committing one more murder. Then that crazy Santa's sidekick stepped in. It turned out he was the Rudolph of that dimension, and he was even crazier than Santa. He killed Santa, and was about to kill everyone else when Moon Knight showed up. Moon Knight killed Rudolph, and gave everyone the means to return home."

"I was going to ask Moon Knight about it, but I don't think this is the same Moon Knight. The Hulk was there, too. But I'm not sure this is the same Hulk, either. Cologne said that she had met several different versions of that Donna Troy she spoke so highly of."

"That's about all, really." Ukyo sighed. "I really wish the Tribunal had given me time to prepare. Then I could have brought along that journal."

Prez stared at her incredulously. 'Maybe I'm really still at that Dead concert?' he thought to himself...

The Shrike stands motionlessly, continuing to observe the beings around him. Soon they will not notice him at all. Already he had to move away from several careless people who almost walked right into him. He had not been ordered to kill, and must obey that command.
Cap looked at Moon Knight. He did seem physically...smaller. Of course, Moon Knight has a history of mental problems. This could just be a new personality. "Well, John, if that's true. It would probably be best if you stayed close."
Oh, Captain. I'm sorry to inform you, but it's just a case of mistaken identity. i can assure you that I'm just a doctor. That is, a SUPER DOCTOR!!

Then, Doctor Cox pops into JD's head.

Back at the Hospital.

Janitor-Hey, Spector, is it? Here's your transmitter. It'll get you where you need to be. It was nice meetin' ya... but don't do it again. You annoy me more than idiot doctor.

Thanks, janitor, you've been a real help. Now I have to get the hell out of here.

Marc Spector uses the device, but it starts flashing and sparking. Then, Marc is transported away, but not to Doom's Castle.

Wait a minute, never mind that. I AM one now, so I'll take on the mantle of Moon Knight. Let's take this costume for a test run. Woohoo

JD grabs MK's truncheon, and starts flailing it around like a baton, dancing like a complete fool.

Ukyo noted Prez's reaction. "I know it sounds crazy, but it all really happened. And it wasn't the first time there was a 'Traitor Game', either. One of Cologne's fellow players had been a part of a previous Traitor Game. I don't think that was the first one, either."

"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to see what the living quarters are like."

She headed out from the main meeting hall and into the hall. She was not paying attention to where she was going, and bumped into the Batman standing in front of her. He eyed her with an intense expression. The expression chilled Ukyo. She knew that he meant business.

"You said this 'Cologne' gave you a journal. Give it to me." he said coldly.

"I told Columbo already! I don't have it!" Ukyo said, backing away cautiously, and reaching for her fighting spatula. "If I'd known I was going to be taken here, I would have brought it with me!"

Batman approached her intently. Ukyo swung her huge fighting spatula at him, but he leaped into the air, and then knocked Ukyo to the ground.

"So you're one of the traitors?" Ukyo said, as she prepared to throw one of her throwing spatulas at him. "Cologne warned me it might be a hero gone bad. You're not taking me out without a fight!"

Batman stopped. "I'm not one of the traitors." he said calmly.

"Then why are you acting like such a jerk?" Ukyo asked, as she rose to her feet.

"Because this game is more important than all the other ones! Countless lives are at stake here. I was a part of the first three, but not the last two. I need to know everything that happened in the previous games. And if that means tying you and Moon Knight up and interrogating you..."

"Aren't you over-reacting?" Ukyo asked.

"No, I'm not. My 'Bat dick' days are over. But I need to know all I can about the other Traitor Games."

"I don't see how it'll help. Dr. Doom was a player in the last Traitor Game, like us. If what I read in the journal was any indication, he was more of a nuisance than a real menace back then."

"Clearly things have changed." Batman replied.

"I'm not sure, but Cologne was wondering about that Continuum whatever Doom was coveting. When Doom invaded our dimension, she speculated that Doom might have somehow got that thing to work."

"Tell me everything you can." Batman said. He appeared calmer now.

So Ukyo told Batman just about everything she could recall about the journal, especially what it said about Dr. Doom. She also gave the same summary to Batman that she had given to Prez. "And that's about all I know, really. It's a shame Cologne couldn't be here. I'm sure she'd gladly give you a copy of the journal if you asked nicely."

"Come to think of it, she said she left the Rogue Watcher a copy or two. Maybe you could ask the Rogue Watcher for it, if he still has it."

"Thank you." said Batman. "You've been a great help to me. Perhaps this time I'll survive long enough to bring the traitors to justice."

"What do you mean 'this time?'" Ukyo asked, but it was too late. Batman had already rushed down the hall and disappeared into the shadows.

Ukyo realized she had forgotten to tell Batman that the Moon Knight who was with them now was probably not the same Moon Knight who had been part of the previous Traitor Games. But she guessed that he would figure that out soon enough.

Ukyo took a look at the living quarters. There were three corridors off the Main Hall leading to guest rooms. The guest rooms appeared to be comfortable enough, though bare aside from the bed, nightstand, lamp, dressers, and closets.

As Ukyo returned to the Main Hall where most of the others were still gathering, she thought about her meeting with Batman. "He didn't seem so bad, deep down." Ukyo said, mostly to herself.

She knew, though, that as good as Batman was, there would probably be nothing he could do to prevent the murder that Dr. Doom had promised would happen within the hour. Soon, someone would be killed, and the rest of the group would have to figure out who did it...
