And now Part 19 of the Traitor Game Essentials presentation of Traitor Game V: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Traitor. In this installment, as the votes begin, the Traitors strike again!

Young Avenger 12-15-2006 11:21 PM

Ant-Man is laying on the floor. The chair Donna hurl him to broke after he landed on it. In addition to having pain on his jaw, he is suffering on his pain on his back . Ant-Man says quietly to himself. "That chick is crazier than the Joker." Ant-Man slowly gets up and goes to his living quarters to get some rest.

The Purple Skull 12-15-2006 11:56 PM

Interesting. So it was not the Joker after all. A rare error on my part. I guess even the best of us make mistakes. I shall have to observe the players more closely.

OOC: Sorry for the rather barebones post. I just got home. I probably won't post again until Sunday. Have a Happy Hannukah, Weirdopky. Enjoy the MP3 player ya lucky bastard. :p

Chris Lang 12-16-2006 12:23 AM
Donna couldn't miss Ant-Man's overt focus on her breasts. Her cheeks flushed when she saw the idiot openly ogling her. He didn't even try to hide it. Reaching for his jaw at superhuman speed, Donna clenched it with a grip just this side of bruising. "Hey, scuzzball! I already told you not to stare at my chest when you're talking to me!"

Thrusting against Ant-Man, Wonder Girl sent him hurtling toward the nearest chair. She didn't push hard enough to break bones or cause serious injury. However, she wanted the shove to help that lech keep serious injury in mind at all times. Just in case he ever had another impulse to make eye contact with her breasts--instead of, y'know, her eyes.

"OoooOOooOO! Why are men such pigs?!"
Cologne watched this with interest. "Very good, young one. You were angry at him, but yet you restrained yourself from causing him serious injury."

"I have met many men who are like this Ant-Man. Some would make this Ant-Man look like a monk by comparison. You should be glad my old acquaintance Happosai is not here."

"However, not all the men in your life are like Ant-Man or Happosai, are they? You are not calling your friend Wally West a pig, are you?"

She didn't wait for an answer. "No, I did not think so."

Cologne noted that Ant-Man had retreated to his quarters, so she continued.

"Anyway," Cologne moved closer to Wonder Girl. "I can give you this to use on him if he ever tries to touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable."

She handed Donna the Instant Spring of Drowned Squirrel packet she had shown Dr. Doom earlier. "Douse him with this. Once doused, he will turn into a squirrel, and remain a squirrel until hot water is poured on him. But this will only work once. Unlike the true Jusenkyo springs, it will not truly curse him to change back and forth."

"If this were more pleasant circumstances, I would offer to teach you some of the ancient techniques of the Joketsuzoku. You are a skilled fighter, with the potential to become even greater. If I were to teach you any of the Chinese Amazon techniques, you could return to your own universe as the only one who knows any of them."

"But this is not a pleasant vacation. Here, we do not know who may be the murderers in our midst. For all I know, you could be one of the renegades. So I dare not teach you any new skills, because I cannot trust anyone here with them."

"However, I believe I can trust you with the Instant Squirrel packet. If you were one of the renegades, you could not use it as a method of murdering anyone without giving yourself away. And I trust you will guard it with your life, and make sure it never gets lost or stolen. For suspicion will fall upon you if you show up claiming you cannot find it."

thanks, Purple Skull. Also, you made a comment a while back making fun of Moon Knight at the Latverian Night Club? Was that a reference to me last game? I mean, you made a joke about something that the guy playing spidey said to me, about having a white costume at night. Just curious.

tangentman 12-16-2006 12:35 AM

Wonder Girl held up the small bag in her palm. "Thanks." Smiling gratefully at Cologne, she added, "I didn't really want to hurt Ant-Man. Splashing him with a little 'Squirrel Spray' is better than pounding him into the floor!" Still, she couldn't accept the gift without at least a small reservation.

The smile shifted into a look of concern. "Still, a smart enemy would snatch the bag and use it as the perfect opportunity to frame me. It's just the sort of scheme Lex would hatch if he felt too lazy to come up with a grander scheme." Donna cut her eyes subtly toward a few others in the room. "There are too many sneaky types who could steal the bag from right under my nose--teleporters, shrinking men, expert thieves, people who create energy constructs, masters of stealth."

"Perhaps it is best that we use up all three of the packets quickly, before the renegades get a hold of them. The only valid use of the Squirrel Packet, the Cat Packet, or the Ewok Packet is the humilation of someone who has been misbehaving. I doubt they will do much good in fending off attacks from the renegade elves. If they could take the Super-Skrull by surprise, they could take any of us by surprise."

"In any case, our host has said it will be a while before we need worry about the renegade elves striking again. If what has happened before is any indication, there will be plenty of people misbehaving in the meantime."

"The packets are the least of our worries. A number of us may have devices that could be lost or stolen. And unlike the packets, they are not just good for only one use each. What of Green Lantern's power ring? Does it only work for him, or can anyone use it? Dr. Doom and Lex Luthor appear to have a number of scientific gadgets."

"I wish it was possible to confiscate the most dangerous of the items and have them locked away in a closet. As it is, I can only advise the owners to guard them carefully."

Cologne stopped, because she truly was out of ideas as far as the items went. She could think of no way to remove the dangerous items from play -- at least no way that would actually work. If no one else had any ideas, she would change the subject.

Jeff-E 12-16-2006 12:44 PM

Hmmm. So the clown Terran Joker was not a renegade. I believe he still deserved to be accused.

Ronan looked around the room his eyes glowing red.

Which of you is the traitor, who shall be the next to stand accused?

PatrickG 12-16-2006 07:10 PM
Donna wistfully sighed when she realized that, once again, the killers had escaped justice. There were at least two villains here who she had no reason to trust. In fact, the Joker had long plagued one of her best friends, a young man who'd been a brother in spirit--if not by blood. However, the Joker had been too obvious a choice. Santa wouldn't logically choose such an obvious candidate for "Renegade Elf", although he'd deliberately placed him there as a distraction.

Once again, Wonder Girl revisited the idea of investigating the less obvious people as the killers. At least one person came to mind as a "Good Elf", but Donna would keep that belief secret for the moment. She didn't want to place a good-hearted person at grave risk. Instead, the Amazon would continue looking at the people who seemed like the least likely suspects.

As Donna mulled over these thoughts, she overheard Ant-Man. She shook her head when she heard his dismissive remarks. "You're wrong, Ant-Man. Believe me, I don't have the first reason to trust the Joker. However, Santa wouldn't make the game so easy as to feed us the votes. We have to look where we least expect to find the renegades."
Luthor spent a long while pondering Donna's words.

"It is true that we must look to unexpected places for the traitor. However, it is Wonder Girl herself who has elicited the least suspicion of anyone. Somehow, she has arranged herself so that even the children appear less innocent than her. This cannot be a coincidence... and even by suggesting that we look in unexpected places for the traitor, she shifts blame away from herself. She pretends to lead an investigation while slowly, one by one, innocents die or face exile. One of the traitors is almost assuredly her or one of her closest allies."

"I accuse Wonder Girl of betraying us."

Joe Acro 12-16-2006 07:46 PM

The Flash was shocked by the death of Joker. Largely it was due to him not believing others would vote with him, given how obvious the choice seemed.

"Perhaps The Joker was too obvious a choice. But we will have to await another kill before we can truly accuse anyone else."

Chris Lang 12-16-2006 08:03 PM

Ronan looked around the room his eyes glowing red.

Which of you is the traitor, who shall be the next to stand accused?
Cologne listened to Ronan with interest.

"I wish it were that simple." Cologne said. "But I doubt the traitors will come out and confess unless they are tired of hiding already. Furthermore, it would spoil our host's game. He does not wish it to be too easy for the non-renegade players. If he did, he would have chosen the Joker as one of his renegade elves."

"Still, if either of the renegades is tired of this game already and wishes to confess, they should do it."

Weirdopky 12-16-2006 09:47 PM

ok, so i got the next kill sent to my PM box, and will be posting it tomorrow night. Also, the voting so far goes like this.
"Perhaps The Joker was too obvious a choice. But we will have to await another kill before we can truly accuse anyone else."
Cologne nodded. "You are right. And I am sure I am not the only one who wishes you were not."

"I am tempted to eliminate Ronan the Accuser from suspicion in the Super-Skrull's murder, for choosing the Super-Skrull as his victim would naturally cause suspicion to point to him. Ronan is fortunate that everyone decided to gang up on the Joker and banish him, for it could have just as easily been him. While it is still possible that he might be one of the renegade elves, and murdered the Super-Skrull in an attempt to throw suspicion off of him -- because we would dismiss him as being too obvious -- I would need more evidence before I consider him my prime suspect."

"Unfortunately, we all know what 'more evidence' means, though none of you wants to be the one to say it. In this context, 'more evidence' will mean another murder. We have failed to identity one of the two murderers of the Super-Skrull, and the price will be at least one more murder than there otherwise would have been had we banished one of the renegade elves during this round, and the other during the next. The host has made it clear that no one will be banished until there is another murder."

"This has been a long day, and many of us are tired. I suggest we go to bed. Tomorrow we may make further suggestions. We need not worry about the renegades. If what our host tells us is true, they have postponed their murder, and will not strike until tomorrow night. But we should be on guard just in case."
OOC: I thought the voting didn't actually start till the next murder.
no, the voting starts, but the tonight is just a murder. I want the murder's and banishments to be on the same spot in time. So, that means this tuesday's a banishment/kill.

Jeff-E 12-17-2006 02:23 PM

Ronan listened to Cologne intently, there weren't many willing to speak their minds at this point. Many feared saying too much and facing the wraith of the Traitors. Ronan being a Kree Accuser did not share this fear.

I will concur with the Terran Luth-Or, and lay the accusation at the feet of the Wonder Curr-female, whelp, you stand Accused how do you plead?

Again Ronan charged the Universal weapon pointing it directly towards Wonder Girl.

OoC-If anyone is confused the vote is for Wonder Girl.

Young Avenger 12-17-2006 04:33 PM

After taking a nap in his living quarters, Ant-Man returns to the main meeting area where everyone begins voting.

"I also vote for the Wonder Chick. That lady is violent. Look at what she did to me and my poor chair."

The Purple Skull 12-17-2006 04:46 PM

I shall keep it short and simple. Ant-Man! I vote you as one of the traitors! May your soul rot in eternal torment! I can only hope others will follow suit.

OOC: Weirdopky: It was purely coincedental when I made that Moon Knight joke in Doom's flashback. I had forgotten that someone used that joke on you in the previous game.

The Purple Skull 12-17-2006 05:21 PM

Ronan, my friend. I hold very high respect to you as Kree Accuser. However, I hope you change your vote. Though I have had my suspicions on Wonder Girl, I feel that the real traitors are trying to set her up for the fall. Please consider changing your vote to Ant-Man, so that we may rid ourselves of one of the traitors!

tangentman 12-17-2006 07:44 PM

Wonder Girl snorted at the wave of accusations led by (predictably) Luthor. "Oh, give me a break, Luthor! If anyone's been working an agenda around here, it's you." The way he'd attempted to manipulate the others into voting off the heroic members of the group hadn't escaped her notice. Now, there was a strong villain voting block trying to eliminate her.

Well, she didn't know what Ant-Man was in his home universe, but he didn't act like a hero!

"I voted wrong with the King, Super-Skrull. I made a mistake--something Lex would never admit doing. Sure, go ahead and follow his lead like blind sheep. Just don't come crying to me when he stabs all of you in the back. Which he will, that's the sort of thing Lex does to his so-called 'allies'. Besides, Amazon doctrine doesn't allow me to lie. I don't have anything to hide--if I was trying to kill you all, I wouldn't be subtle about it, I'd just pound in your heads or run you through with giant candy cane spears." Donna stared briefly at an over-sized candy cane lying in plastic wrapping on the other side of Santa's workshop.

"Lex, on the other hand, would rather rule in Santa's workshop than serve back home. It's just his nature. I'm voting for Lex Luthor." Donna stared coolly at Lex.

Santa pops in, to make a quick visit, when he notices there's no yelling coming from Lex Luthor.

See, my friends. The renegade's have struck once again, and they've taken the life of one Lex Luthor. It seems by the face he has, he was strangled to death. Interesting. All of you who thought he'd be the obvious choice were right. Anyway, hope you enjoy the next two days. Soon, one of you will be banished. As for you, Wonder Girl, you must make another vote because of Lex's death. Ah, I forgot to mention, Luthor was the breaker for the game, therefore I will be choosing another one immediately. Good night, fools. Muahahahaha!!!!!!

Ok, you heard the man. Time to continue voting. It'll end in 48 hrs on tuesday at 10 EST. Keep voting, and remind everyone else.

Cologne turned to Donna. "It is suspicious how Luthor manipulated the vote. I have been very puzzled by his behavior. In the round before the King was banished, he voted for himself. The previous round, he was the first to vote for the Joker, and everyone was so quick to be rid of the Joker that they failed to realize that he was too obvious a choice."

"He may be one of the renegade elves. Then again, he might not. He does have the skills and the super-scientific expertise to design a bomb and a means of propelling a sleigh through a door, but he is not the only one here with the ability to do so."

"Donna, you raise another good point when you suggested which methods of murder you would use. I believe now that our host encouraged his renegade elves to use holiday-themed murder weapons. We can expect their next murder to have a similiar Christmas theme."

"But we have only your word for it that you have nothing to hide. Dr. Banner is right -- our past is mostly irrelevant. We are cut off from our homes, our families...everything that defined us. I am afraid your Amazon doctrines and my own culture's laws and customes are irrelevant here."

"Also irrelevant is who was a super-hero and who was a super-villain back in their own universe. As I said, our host picks who the killers will be, and he is probably capable of making people go against their nature."

"Until there is more evidence, my choice is still Green Lantern. I expect that after the next murder -- and our host has promised us that there will be one -- a number of us will change our votes."

The next murder came soon after Cologne spoke.

OOC: Okay. We're told HOW he was killed. But where and when? Did the lights go out and he was strangled while everyone was meeting and debating? Or did he go to the kitchen to get something to eat and get strangled there? Or was he found dead in the hall or his quarters?

Well, I did not agree with the man, hell he beat the utter crap out of me, but I did not do it.

Well, Wonder Girl, has enough strength to move Santa's Sleigh, AND is used to "rope matter."

Not to mention she and Lex hav ebeen at each othr's throats this whole game.

A shame really. Luthor & I had our differences. But we both grew to respect each other. We could have ruled the world together.

(Not bloody likely.)

Nevertheless, I stand by my vote of Ant-Man. With Luthor's death, I hope you all see the error of your ways and back me up. For now, I shall return to my now turd-free living quarters.

On the way to his room, Doom overhears loud rock music and Archie singing.

Hmph....Idiot. That is THE worst excuse for music Doom has ever heard. Music is art, and Archie has truly butchered it. If I still had it in me, I would show Archie a thing or two about singing.

Flashback to the time Dr. Doom had aspirations of being a singer.

(Dr. Doom and Baron Helmut Zemo are in a studio recording a song)

Record Producer: Man, they sound great! This song is gonna be a hit. Guaranteed!

Record Label Label: Yes, they sound great, but the higher-ups don't feel that they can be marketable. Look at them. One guy hides his disfigured face in that freaky metal mask while the other hides his disfigured face in that ridiculous pink mask. I'm sorry, but we cannot promote these freak shows.

Record Producer: What should we do? We can't waste this song. It's too good.

Record Label Rep: I already have a solution. You two (Points to two good-looking models). How would you like to be singers?

And with that.....Milli Vanilli was born!

Back at the Workshop (Hmph. Milli Vanilli. What a stupid name.)

Chris Lang 12-17-2006 10:28 PM

Cologne approached the body of Lex Luthor. He was motionless in his chair...strangled to death. She did not need to check his pulse to know he was dead.

Cologne broke the silence. "Earlier, he was so convinced he was going to be a victim that he voted for himself. It turns out that he was right about one thing at least."

Cologne listened, expecting to hear a few mutterings about broken clocks in the crowd. She then heard Green Lantern immediately voting for Donna Troy.

She turned, and glared at him with a cold, icy stare. "He has only been dead for a few minutes, and already you are choosing his killer? Have you learned nothing? We cannot make hasty judgements. Luthor made a hasty judgement himself in voting for the Joker. And now he is dead."

She turned to the rest of the group, her gaze still cold. "All because you decided he was right, and rushed to condemn the Joker without even considering that he was too obvious a suspect. All of you who voted for the Joker will in some way be responsible for the two deaths that are to come."

"For there will be at least two more people killed by the renegades. There are two of them, and we can only banish one of them per round. We had the chance to be rid of one of them, and we failed. All because seven of you decided on the obvious choice."

Cologne's expression softened. "It may indeed have been Wonder Girl. She might have been so mad at the way Luthor was behaving that she chose him to be the victim. On the other hand, it may have been that the renegades chose Luthor hoping suspicion would be placed on Donna Troy. They had seen how she and Luthor were constantly fighting."

"I have not decided yet who my suspect in this is yet. But we cannot afford to make hasty judgements." She pointed her staff at Luthor's corpse, and said nothing more. She had made her point.

tangentman 12-17-2006 10:30 PM

"I didn't kill anyone!" Donna gave everyone a bewildered look. "If super-strength is the only criterion, then what about the Accuser, or Hulk, or Fin Fang Foom?" She gestured to these players. "Why am I the first one you accuse? Two of them are reputedly known for killing--and we've already seen that Fin and Hulk have mean streaks."

Shaking her head, Donna looked around the room again. "Of course, the killer would be able to remove evidence of his actions. He needs to be able to move quickly and without being seen. Which is why I think Ant-Man is one of the killers. He shrank other objects, why couldn't he shrink the Accuser or Hulk to help them make their kills?"

OOC My reasonings:

1: The Firs tvote againist the Burge rking, was Donna.

2: True Fin Fang Foom and Hulk have super strength, but so does WOnder GIrl.

Also WG is the lgihtest of the Super Bricks, FFF and Hlk with sheer weigh twould hav emade a lot of noise in the Sleigh thing, Wonderigrl si small enough to been stealthy.

3: Hello it was Lex! Donna and Le xhav ebeen at eahc other's throat at begining.

Edit:

Then again if enuogh evidence happens, I may change my mind. Ant Man seems likely, as he cna shrink for the stealth apporach, but he is neithe rmaste rmind, nor super storng ni skill.

And the Hulk/FFF would ahv ekilled lex in a far more, mroe brutal manner, unless a scale were discovered on his body or soemthing.
"Despite his faults, Doom has been doing the right thing in trying to find out everything he can about his fellow captives. I suggest the rest of you do the same."
A compliment for Doom? Somewhere in hell, Mephisto must be feeling a tad bit chilly.

ok, guys, i corrected the problem. Don't worry.

the voting so far goes like this.

tangentman/Wonder Girl-3 (Chou Blaster, Young Avenger, Jeff-E) Chris Lang/Cologne-1 (mattbib) Young Avenger/Irredeemable Ant-Man-3 (darkkeeperjr, tangentman, The Purple Skull) Chou Blaster/Green Lantern Kyle Rayner-1 (Chris Lang)

also, to the Good Elf, it's your turn for a kill, please send me your kill as soon as possible, or I'll do it for you.

OOC: Weird, you list Chris voting twice. Chou voted against me, Chris voted against Chou.
"You are so predictable Wonder Chick. Always wasting your vote on whoever your feuding with. You did it with Luthor and you are doing it to me. For a Amazon whatever you are that's very immature of you. Try putting some thought into your vote."

tangentman 12-17-2006 11:02 PM

"I wasn't feuding with Jimmy or the King. I sincerely thought they might be candidates." Wonder Girl stared pointedly at Ant-Man. "Not that you're not making a total hypocrite of yourself. Considering how you voted against me AFTER I rightly pounded you for acting like such a pig!"

The presentation will continue in Part 20.
