And now Part 3 of the special presentation of Traitor Game V: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Traitor

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 03:16 PM

Jimmy obseved the speech of Flash.

'Quick, slick, and the use of short-forms. Heh, is this guys a hero or a playboy?'

"Hey, Mr. Flash, are you a superhero, too? You must have super speed, right? Considering your name."

Weirdopky 12-10-2006 03:18 PM
Sorr,y jittery hands, edited it for the greater good.
no worries man, just trying to help everyone else get the whole story from everyone.

BiC/Back in Character:Now Santa saw Cologne glaring at Jimmy, and wanted to make a remark.

Finally, someone believes me. Cologne, I'm glad you can see this. Conan, don't try hiding it. You've been lying to your friend Rachael far too long, and because of it, you're on my naughty list. Also, by being in the body of a child and stating that you WERE a child, you were given the privilege to get toys from me. After I found out about your dirty little secret, I got the idea that this was another ungrateful little bastard, trying to sneak his way to getting more toys. Maybe that's not your reasoning, but you should still not keep it a secret. So, you're deeper in this than other people here.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 03:22 PM

Jimmy smirked.

"Tch! If I don't know any better, I'd say Santa Claus is now rotten to the core! He even tried to set up an innocent kid! Humph, bad uncle!"

Jimmy sticked out his tongue in front of Santa, while pulling down the skin underneath his left eye.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 03:24 PM

Inside...Jimmy's boiling.

'What do you know, old man?! Don't you think I wanted to tell Rachael the truth?! She was always so lonely...yet, I can't do nothing. I wanted to tell her from the very beginning. But I can't take that risk. I can't get her involved. Not until I put those men in black suits in jail for good!'

Weirdopky 12-10-2006 03:26 PM
Jimmy smirked.

Ha ha ha ha ha!! Don't you see what I can do? I have magic, and it's at it's most powerful in my workshop. Time to show you the full extent.

So, Santa lifts his finger, & points it at Jimmy. Magically, Jimmy opens his mouth, and is fed alcohol. Suddenly, Jimmy grows into his full form.

See kid? I told you I know your weaknesses. I've been watching some of you, and I saw when you first learned that that would work to change you back. Now, you have to tell everyone the truth. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 03:28 PM

OoC: xD Boy, you got to watch more carefully. After the first time Jimmy was fed alcohol, the alcohol didn't work on him anymore. So feeding him alcohol would just make him drunk, not turn him back into an adult. That's why Jimmy's still a kid.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 03:29 PM

However, the alcohol only made Jimmy spun around, and fell to the ground. With a 'Whee!', Jimmy fell unconscious.

The Bard looks over at Santa, and remarks:

"So, fat man, could you give me some ale?"

Superheroic 12-10-2006 04:20 PM

The Hulk, clad in gladiatorial garb from the planet Sakaar, gazed around him. One moment he had been fighting the hordes of the Emperor's army, and the next he was in...a workshop?

"This is different," the Hulk said. He looked around seeing other people seemingly out of place when Santa appeared. "You've gotta be kidding me."

He listened to the blather of "Santa" and the others around him, spotting several old foes: Dr. Doom, Super-Skrull, Ronan, Onslaught. "Interesting. Hopefully Richards and Stark are here." The Hulk cracked his knuckles, the sound reverberated around the room like gunshots.

Joe Acro 12-10-2006 04:29 PM

Before Luthor responded to Flash's inquiries and statements, the player known as Conan said, "Hey, Mr. Flash, are you a superhero, too? You must have super speed, right? Considering your name."

"Yeah, kid, I'm a superhero. But you probably guessed that already. If you saw my display earlier, you would know I have super-speed. You seem smart, Conan was it? Just try to stop pestering Santa. That guy's got too much power for me to handle."

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 04:41 PM

Minutes later, Jimmy woke up, while still a little drunk.

"Hic! That was...some drink...hic! Mr. Claus...hic!"

BYC 12-10-2006 04:43 PM

As the various participants argue, debate, accuse, investigate, scheme, and backstab each other, the lights goes out!

Santa Claus: That wasn't me.

As the lights come back, everybody gasped as what they saw in front of them. A Whopper sandwich, the size of the room, hangs from the ceiling. On top of the sandwich, like a victorious conquerer, rode the King! The King smiled his patented smile, give a hearty silent laugh, and jumped off into the shadows.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 04:47 PM

However drunk Jimmy was, he was still awake. Therefore, he noticed the quick action of 'The King'. And also, the quick appearance of the sandwich, which apppeared to be brought into the basement during the blackout using some kind of method.

Superheroic 12-10-2006 04:49 PM

As the lights snapped back on the Hulk looked up at the huge sandwich hanging from the ceiling. His stomach rumbled, the sound like an avalanche on the Matterhorn. He reached up and pulled the gigantic meal down and messily devoured the whole thing.

"BUURRRRRRPPP!" He expelled. "Now where's the damn fries?!?"

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 04:51 PM

The drastic action of 'Big Green' shocked Jimmy. A shock that was enough to snapped Jimmy out of his trance.

'That man sure is frightening!'

Young Avenger 12-10-2006 04:56 PM

While Ant-Man observes his surrounding he starts to get hungry. Ant-Man tries to find the Burger King who has a massive supply of fast food but is unable to find him. Ant-Man finds a bag of Cheesy Puffs belongs to Eric Cartman. Ant-Man not caring who it belonged to shrinks to the size of an ant and dives into the bag eating it's contents.

Joe Acro 12-10-2006 04:58 PM

After the power went out and The King left a giant sandwich, Wally was quite willing to eat it. He needed to replenish his energy after using so much fighting Superboy-Prime and running around this enclosed space.

Unfortunately, someone else acted first. A big green monster who Flash had neglected to notice before bounded upward and devoured the whole thing.

A little disappointed, Flash decided he'd try the more sure-fire approach and examine the kitchen.

Ant-Man: W. T. F?

tangentman 12-10-2006 05:01 PM

OOC: Weirdopky--Kyle was the only Green Lantern in recent history who didn't start out with the "yellow" weakness. Of course, he wasn't a "man without fear" like Hal, so Kyle broke the GL mold in many regards.

OOC2: Sorry, Jimmy, but I'm calling "foul" on your "resistance to Santa's Hot Toddy". Weird's basically the "GM" of the game--his calls stand. The deal with Kyle was an honest mistake and could be retconned as "Santa altered the ring/swapped it for Hal's/retcon-punched it/etc. Please avoid "god-moding"--you're just another player like the rest of us. If Santa's magic can affect a lasso from the Greek gods, then I'm sure he can age a certain boy detective. ;)

Wonder Girl watched the interaction between Luthor and Wally. While curiosity nagged her about Wally's future, she could tell that the differences from the Wally she knew weren't as sinister as Luthor claimed. The same earnestness was there, merely tempered by maturity and time. Donna smiled wistfully at Wally, seeing in him the potential for heroism fully realized.

Donna slowly shook her head at Luthor. "I'm sorry, Lex, but you're not conning me into thinking this Wally is evil. I grew up with Wally, and looking into his eyes, I see the same man. The same courage, the same honesty there. You'll have to try harder than that to trick me into not trusting my friend."

Of course, there was the question of the new Green Lantern. Who was this handsome, dark-haired hero claiming Hal Jordan's title? He seemed...different from Hal or John Stewart or the older one from the parallel Earth Diana sometimes mentioned. Did he come from the same future as Wally? Did they know each other in that time?

Despite these burning questions, only one truly mattered now: how to deal with "Santa Claus"? Donna smiled sweetly at Saint Nick. "Sir, I have no doubt that you have legitimate reasons to feel angry. You've worked for years upon years to bring happiness to children around the world. The lack of gratitude you've experienced from kids...well, I think anyone would naturally resent it."

"However, killing us won't really make amends. Sure, you might feel a little instant gratification at first. What about afterwards? If the truth ever came out, our friends and allies back home would only hunt you down. Children wouldn't respect you...they'd just fear and hate you. Is that the legacy you really want?"

OOC3 to Joe Acro: Actually, Pre-Crisis Wonder Woman visited Earth 2 a few times--two notable occasions were when Diana Prince performed "monitor duty" while the JLA/JSA tracked down the Seven Soldiers of Victory through time. Their common enemy, the Iron Hand, tried to use Diana as a hostage. However, she easily overcame and captured him.

A few years later (our time, not necessarily DCverse's), Wonder Woman briefly visited Earth 2 again when she and her Golden Age counterpart teamed up against the Red Panzer. That was around the time DC switched the WW stories to the 1940's to reflect the TV show. There are also the JLA/JSA team ups to consider--Earth 1 WW participated in at least 3 of them. I'm sure she would've shared those stories with Donna by the time WG joined the NTT. :)

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 05:02 PM

Jimmy noticed The Flash leaving. Therefore, he asked, "Mr. Flash, where're you going? This is a basement, afterall, there shouldn't be any special rooms around, right?"

OoC: Actually, my character's anime/manga based. And according to those two sources, the alcohol didn't work after Jimmy tried it the second time. So there.

The Flash: (muffled noises)

tangentman 12-10-2006 05:08 PM

Sorta-double post.

Young Avenger 12-10-2006 05:08 PM

The Burger King dives further into the cheesy puffs not giving Ant-Man a chance to say his thanks. Ant-Man begins to eat his delicious Italian Chicken Sandwich and hops out of the bag of Cheesy Puff.

tangentman 12-10-2006 05:09 PM

Donna's eyes widened when she saw the gargantuan cheeseburger. A giggle came out when she thought about how much the stunt seemed like one Gar would pull back home. "I bet Changeling would love that burger!" After saying so, she cut a sidelong glance at the Hulk. Smiling sweetly again, she hastily added, "Not that anyone's begrudging you a snack! Eat up!"

A quick movement in Donna's peripheral vision caught her attention. Turning toward the kitchen, she saw Wally approaching the door. Approaching Flash and the little Japanese boy, Wonder Girl gestured around the room. "While I appreciate the food that King's provided, I wonder if Santa wouldn't have the ingredients for a good eggnog?" She smiled down at Jimmy and Eric. "Don't worry about the villains here. Stick with me and you boy's will be just fine!"

OOC: Yep, Donna's the Pre-Crisis edition. LOL Of course, there's always the possibility that Flash might experience a "Hypertime" flashback and get the gist of what Donna's talking about. ;)

Superheroic 12-10-2006 05:10 PM

The Hulk, annoyed he didn't get any fries, lumbers over to Dr. Doom. He taps him rather roughly on the shoulder. "Hey Doom. Is Richards around here? Me an him got something that needs to be settled between us. I figure if anyone would know where to find Reed Richards it'd be you."

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 05:10 PM

Jimmy was awed.

'How did 'The King' travel from that part of the basement to the kitchen? And why did Santa Claus place the kitchen in the basement? Could there be a specific reason?'

Joe Acro 12-10-2006 05:13 PM

The Flash did not hear Conan's question. He'd gotten too far away too fast. After searching for food, he opened the refrigerator only to find The King, who promptly stuffed a Triple Whopper in Wally's mouth.

Flash happily ate the large burger while giving The King a thumbs-up. The King closed the refrigerator door to conceal himself once more or, more likely, to vanish in his mysterious way again.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 05:13 PM

Jimmy smirked upon Donna's comment.

'Heh, you're just a teenage superheroein. A rookie probably, no?'

The Bard shakes his head, and says:

"So bloke, your power is to shove sandwiches at people? Forgive me for my lack of astonishment."

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 05:15 PM

Jimmy rubbed his chin.

'No, that man can teleport between that section and the fridge. He's got to be much more than a man dressed up like a mascot. But who is he, really?'

Anthony Johanson 12-10-2006 05:18 PM

Ignore this post.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 05:19 PM

OoC: Hey, it was italic text. That means Jimmy was thinking, not talking.

Jeff-E 12-10-2006 05:30 PM

Ronan watches as all the different actions transpire, "kings" shove food at people the Hulk, eats an enormous, something (OOC-Ronan probably wouldn't know what a hamburger is) while the others banter back in forth with no end in sight:

CLAUS!!! As the only representitive of the mighty Kree army I demand you release me at once. I already grow tired of this insistant human prattleing. They feed while we are forced to play in your game.

Ronan began walking around the room waving the Universal weapon infront of everyone, looking for some tell on whom might be the traitors.

Chris Lang 12-10-2006 05:38 PM

Cologne watched the incident with the King showing up with that giant sandwich, which was quickly devoured by the Hulk. The King was an odd creature indeed. He seemingly had the ability to appear out of nowhere and produce food out of nowhere.

"One thing is certain," Cologne remarked aloud. "As long as the King is here, none of us is going to starve."

Cologne was moved by Donna's standing up for her friend, Wally West. However, she had a bad feeling about this. If this Santa Claus was capable of transporting them all here, transmuting Wonder Girl's magical lasso into an ordinary lasso, and setting up this whole basement complex, then he was probably capable of making people do things they would otherwise not even consider.

She didn't want to voice this suspicion yet, though. The King's giant cheeseburger stunt had reminded a lot of the captives how hungry they were, so many were taking a break from questioning each other to have a bite to eat. The ever-helpful King was quick to supply just about everyone with a burger or other selection of fast food, but a few, including Donna and Wally, had decided to go to the kitchen to see what other food options were available.

Cologne smiled, for the first time since she had arrived here. "I own a Chinese restaurant. If any of you would like any Chinese food, I could make some. That is, if the kitchen has the right ingredients."

Superheroic 12-10-2006 05:44 PM

Jimmy looked up at Cologne.

"Mdm, what ingredients are you going to use? This is Santa's basement, after all. I don't think he would have any ingredients found in the East. You are from the East, arent' ya? You look like an asian to me, Mdm."

"I would like some pork fried rice, boneless chicken and rib tips."

(thinks to himself)I hope this works the same way like the chinese restaurants in New York.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 06:01 PM

Suddenly, a sound of rumbling came from Jimmy's stomach.

'Heh, looks like I'm starving, too. I was suppose to have meat loaf cooked by Rachael. But, let's see what this old lady can whipped up with whatever that's here.'

Weirdopky 12-10-2006 06:02 PM

OoC; first off, gotta say, BYC, the stuff with the king is F-ing hilarious. He's just poppin' up all over the place.

My dear Donna Troy, you must understand. I may want you all dead, but I will give you the hospitality I would give to anyone living in my workshop. You may use anything from the fridge, and if you need anything, you can ask. I'm not all evil, I just want to see you all killed by my renegades. "I am from the Qinghai province of China." Cologne replied. "I am the elder of the Joketsuzoku tribe. The English-speaking world would refer to us as Chinese Amazons."

She gazed into Jimmy's eyes. Lowering her voice so that the others would not overhear, she added "You were very brave in trying to stand up to our captor. But I am afraid he knows all our secrets, so it is pointless to try to hide anything from him. Doing so will only encourage him to tell everyone here things you'd rather they not know."

"You are trying to protect a loved one, is that right?" Cologne paused. "No, I cannot read your mind. But I have encountered many people with double identities. And many of them, like you, keep their identities secret because they fear their loved ones may be harmed."

"Should we survive this game, we may be sent back to our own universes. I believe you are the only one from your universe here, so even if the others find out everything about you, they won't be able to harm your friends."

Cologne smiled, and then changed the subject. "Santa Claus was always capable of travelling around the entire world in one night. I'm sure if he wanted to, he could stock his kitchens with ingredients from all over the world. And since THIS Santa is capable of summoning people from several different universes, he's not limited to just 'all over the world', either. Come, let us see what the kitchen has to offer."

Cologne smiled. "But there will be time to discuss that later. So, what would you like to eat?"

Around that time, Ant-Man showed up.
"I would like some pork fried rice, boneless chicken and rib tips."
"I suppose I could manage that." Cologne sighed. While she did not trust Ant-Man, she would not deny his request.

"I don't suppose you know how to bake lemon pies, do you?"

Wonder Girl's eyebrows rose when she heard the stream of profanities from Eric. Popping her head out of the kitchen, she said, "Hey! Watch the language, kid!" Shaking her head, Donna returned to the kitchen.

After two seconds' thought, Donna smiled eagerly at Cologne. "I think Chinese food would taste delicious right about now!" Smirking at Jimmy, she added, "If Santa can cater to children of every country around the world, I think he wouldn't have a problem keeping multi-cultural ingredients in his pantry!" She added a wink to the observation as she pulled out a few spices that might help Cologne.

In the meantime, she also pulled out the ingredients for the eggnog she served at Titans' Christmas parties in the past.

Before Ant-Man can eat the Chinese food, the King bursts from under a table, grabs the Chinese food, replaces it with an extra large Angus Streak Burger extra value meal, and dives into a potted plant.

After talking with the Cartman, Doom continues his observation of the players.

(Hmm. This 'Green Lantern' has piqued my interest. My scanners tell me that the ring Lantern holds contains unimaginable power. Power...which will be mine! The carrier of the ring seems to be a human wasteland. Which begs the question, is ANYBODY worthy of carrying such powerful weapons this day in age? You there! Flash! So, you are the so-called 'Fastest Man Alive'? Well, you don't impress me at all. As a matter of fact, I'm going to keep an eye on you. And if you didn't know, along with keeping an eye on Flash, his powers is another which Doom covets....

Wonder Girl blinked at the latest hijinks from the King. Calling aloud to the plant, she asked, "Say, you wouldn't have a Diet Coke on you?"

Weirdopky 12-10-2006 06:45 PM

Santa decided he'd make an announcement.

I've seen that I am becoming more of a character in this game than I'd hoped, so I must bid all of you adieu. I will still keep watch, but I will no longer communicate until the voting rounds and the kills. Sleep well, you'll need to in order to survive. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!

OoC: Guys, started to see a patern, and felt it was best if I didn't interact as much.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 06:45 PM

The King was starting to bug Jimmy.

'Tch, that man kept popping out of nowhere, whilst replacing our food with oily burgers and junk food. What's he trying to do? If he's advertising, it's going a little too far.'

The Purple Skull 12-10-2006 06:47 PM

And another thing, keep that 'King' creature away from me!

For those who don't know, Dr. Doom is addicted to the BK Quad-stacker. However, his doctor told him to cut back because it would make him fat. Doom then had him executed.

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 06:48 PM

Jimmy looked at the vanishing Santa suspiciously.

"Hey, Santa could'd gone away, pretend to be absent and murder each of us, making it look like it is the work of the 'Renegade Elves', no?"
Wonder Girl blinked at the latest hijinks from the King. Calling aloud to the plant, she asked, "Say, you wouldn't have a Diet Coke on you?"
As Wonder Girl waits and gets no response, she turns around.

Right into the King!

Face to face at an uncomfortably close distance (5 inches to be exact), silence reigns...for all of 3 seconds as the King produces a 32 oz of Diet Coke as requested by Wonder Girl. The King then waves goodbye as he wanders out of the room.

Wonder Girl: ...creepy...

Peter Parker 12-10-2006 06:52 PM

Jimmy then turned his attention towards The King. But it was an annoyed look.

'Who's he? A ghost?'

Cologne noted the annoyance of her companions. The King, it appeared, did not want any rival food businesses opening here.

Since the King had disappeared again, she turned to Donna, Jimmy, and Ant-Man. "One shouldn't get me wrong. The King has been most generous in supplying us with meals. But I believe that as long as we are here, we should have more variety than what is offered on the menu of the fast food establishment he represents."

Cologne was not familiar with Burger King, the restaurant chain this King character was a representative of. But she doubted that ramen noodles were on Burger King's menu, though she didn't know about lemon pie.

She addressed the King, though she could not see him. "My companions would like some Chinese food. I do not believe my serving them lemon pies, fried rice, or ramen would interfere with your business. There are plenty of other people in this basement who would still welcome your hamburgers. By the way, I'd suggest giving the Hulk the fries he ordered."

She didn't know if the King could hear her, but it was worth a try. In the meantime, she picked up the ingredients Donna had found, and began to make the meals Jimmy and Donna had requested.

Ronan was still aggitated: What is wrong with you Terrans? Have you all just decided to accept your fate, that we are all stuck here? Stupid terrans all they care about is food, food and pants. I refuse to be anyones pawn.

Ronan aims the Universal weapon at a wall and lets loose a vicious blast of energy at the wall.

tangentman 12-10-2006 07:13 PM

"I'm grateful for the Diet Coke, but could you please lay off with the vanishing act? You're really starting to freak us out!" Shaking her head, Donna inserted her straw and took a sip of the drink. A pleased smile came over her face. "Wow, they've sure improved the flavor of Diet Cokes wherever he comes from!"

[OOC: Keep in mind that the WG I'm playing is from a time where TAB was still around, and Diet sodas tasted hideous.]

Hearing Cologne's request, she added, "Yeah, I think a little variety could actually help your business! Y'know how quickly people get sick of Christmas food? We can always eat Burker King when we're over eggnog and Christmas ham!" Looking over at Cologne, Wonder Girl giggled. "If you could make me Moo Shoo Chicken with steamed rice, I'd be your friend for life!"

As soon as the Amazon asked the other Amazon for a dish, the Kree Accuser fired blast at the wall. The magic in the walls ricocheted into the kitchen, threatening to hit Cologne, Jimmy, and Wally. Donna swiftly intercepted the blast with raised bracelets. The indestructible Amazonium bracelets turned the blast away from the kitchen. Still, even Wonder Girl had to appreciate the power of the Universal Weapon.

OOC: I saw the pattern too, which is why I had Cologne made the point that while they can speculate about Santa, they won't be able to do much about him till the end of the game.

IC:

The disappearance of their captor did not surprise Cologne in the least. He had already made it clear that his hidden agents would be doing the dirty work, and it would be up to the assembled group to find out who they were.
"Hey, Santa could'd gone away, pretend to be absent and murder each of us, making it look like it is the work of the 'Renegade Elves', no?"
Cologne shook her head sadly. "Your suggestion is very comforting, for if it were true, it would mean we need not suspect anyone, and we would only have one common enemy whom we could team up against. However, I am afraid that lacking further information, we will have to take the 'renegade elves' claim at face value. Since Santa Claus has departed from the basement, the 'traitors' are now our primary concern. Unfortunately, we have absolutely no clues as to who they might be...yet."

Cologne knew, and she suspected her companions knew as well, that the first clue would come in the form of a murder. Someone would have to die before they had any clues as to who either of the 'traitors' were.

She noted a look in Jimmy's eye, and a realization hit her. "You have experienced something like this before, haven't you?"
